We really enjoyed this home. Perched on a hill(!) you can see both the bay and the ocean. The layout worked well for us with “kid” bedrooms on the first level and two masters on upper levels. As a family that loves to cook, we found the kitchen adequate. There were things that we don’t often find in beach houses, but also some things missing (like a kettle for hot water). Not on the property listing (that I noticed) was beach chairs! For others, this may save you packing them in your car. :)

Generally this house was exactly what we needed and were looking for during our stay in OBX. We appreciate the spacious room that the house provided for our large family. The kitchen was a great size, and all of the utensils and dishes that we would have wanted or needed were provided. Plenty of extra blankets were available if and when we needed. We did not rate this property as excellent / 5 stars because the house was not clean 100% when we arrived. Dressers still had personal items in them, things like bandaid wrappers and other trash were located under beds and around nightstands, and the garbage cans outside were overflowing and completely full when we arrived. We had to call twice and they were not emptied until late the second day we were there. Overall, we still had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the property.
