Great beach getaway

The rental is cute and located right across the street from the beach. Check in was easy, and we were able to park directly in front of our unit. The beds were comfortable and it was fairly clean (some inevitable sand and the people before us didn't clean the dishes very well). There was no toaster or paper towels - likely because of COVID shortages, but luckily we brought our own. Plan to bring your own salt/pepper/sugar if you want to cook. The grill was a great plus, and there was also a smoker. Otherwise, Daniel was very communicative and we had a lovely stay!

Quick get away

Place looks just like the pictures- cute and clean, great location. Beds are ok as far as comfort. Only negative really is the furniture. After being gone most of the day, it would be nice to come back and sit on a comfy couch rather than a wooden bench with a worn out cushion.

Convenient location across the street from the beach with a pool for the kids to enjoy as well! Deck seating area at the pool provides great views of the ocean and sea breeze with beautiful sunrise and sunsets.

Mike, who runs the place is so kind and generous. He will lend you anything you forgot or need. The outside looks like any ocean weathered cottage and the inside is clean as a whistle. I will definitely be going back.

Weekend trip

This was a short getaway weekend for my husband, myself and one other couple. The location of the Saltaire is great. The beach access is directly across the street and no stairs. We usually stay in larger sized homes when we come with our families but this was the perfect size for two couples. The layout is a little strange where you would walk through one bedroom to get to the kitchen. Probably more of an issue with two couples than if you were there with your children. The cottage is cute but needs to go through a more thorough cleaning process after each visitor. There was something all over the fridge door, hair in our bed and in our shower. The window sill was even very dirty which some may have not noticed but the bed is right up against one and it was the first thing I saw. The mini blinds do not fit the windows and we hung towels over the windows because you could see right into our bedrooms. With that said, I have no doubt the property owners would have sent someone out to clean if we had asked. They were very responsive and seem like very nice people. We had to contact them the day we arrived to find where to put the door code and they got back to me right away. We were sitting on the porch that evening and had to help at least two other families get in to their cottage. I think it may be useful to tell people in the check-in instructions that the door code is located inside the porch. Overall, this was a nice getaway weekend in a great location.

Beach get away trop

The unit was clean and fresh inside . Public spaces ( pool, decks , grill etc ) we’re inviting and obviously undergoing continuing improvement ( they put up new umbrellas over the picnic tables while we were there) . But to list this as Saltaire Cottages was misleading in my opinion . I was expecting a cluster or free standing small cottages - not a renovated motel where 3 rooms were turned into a “ unit” of two bedrooms and a kitchen/ living area in the third room . Pluses : screened porch with round table for eating on big enough for 6, good because indoor dining table only had 5 chairs - even after a request for a 6 th one . Great beach access ! Minuses: very minimal kitchen ware - no drinking cups or glasses , not 6 or anything else other than the flatware , and poor selection of food prep items . No toaster - yes blender !
