"self online check in was very simple and efficient. the house was spectacularly clean and in a very quiet area; perfect for a weekend getaway however, the hotspring was not available and the sauna was only until 22:00 there was no curtains so the rooms were all bright when the sun started rising. kitchen was fully equipped. we were a family of 6; 4 adults and 2kids. but none of the equipments were for 6ppl; we found 5 pairs of slippers and 5 toothbrush only. "The house was spacious, clean, and very comfortable for our family of three. The two bedrooms, each with two single beds, provided more than enough space for two adults and one child. The kitchen was well equipped with essential cookware, including a rice cooker and microwave, which made it easy for us to prepare meals. The balcony offered a great view and added to the overall experience. The location was also very convenient. Major bathhouses and sightseeing spots were within walking distance,...

Top Kokonoe Hotel Reviews

AMANEK Beppu YULA-RE

8/10 Good

"Rooms are spacious. Love the bathroom. Swimming pool is very nice on the roof. Breakfast is OK."

Amane Resort Gahama

8/10 Good

"This onsen hotel is well maintained and have beautiful view of Beppu bay. We enjoyed our 2 nights stay here for sure. As of food, the daily buffet style breakfast was provided at nearby sister hotel and dinner at 2 different onsite restaurants (one in each hotel). This hotel doesn’t have public onsen but you can certainly use the one in sister hotel if you prefer public onsen over the private one in your room. Staff here are very friendly and helpful with anything. The only problem is the location, it’s less than 10 minutes train ride to Beppu station with local train but the train is only every 30 mins or so."

Kamenoi Hotel Aso

10/10 Excellent

"We had a great time at the hotel. It is very quiet and the location is amazing. We really enjoyed the buffet dinner and breakfast and the onsen was a great way to start and end the day! Our room was spacious (twin beds) with a great view of the mountain. We will definitely come back if we ever come back in the area. We even considered extending our stay but couldn’t because of other plans. Highly recommended for a relaxing time."
