"We stayed in an over water villa and the room was amazing. View from the room was spectacular and the room was open airy and spacious. Only drawback would be there is not enough shaded areas to get away from the sun. But that really is minor. Wilfred and Shabir were amazing as they we were so personal and warm and made us feel welcomed. Really made an immediate impression on us. Can't wait to go back."

"“This is an Islamic Hotel.” Which is fine but we did not know when we booked on Expedia. We felt a little uncomfortable and the rules in the hotel were a bit stringent. Older hotel but a lot of space which was a bonus. Bathroom had a strong sewage smell and we did have to kill a cockroach on 5th floor. Not my favorite stay."

The Jelapeng restaurant’s à la carte menu was excellent. The dishes were flavorful and consistently served hot, clearly prepared fresh upon ordering.

"We left it late to book a hotel in Langkawi and we couldn't get in to any of usual hotels but managed to get a room at the Penarak Bamboo beach resort.
When we went in the room it was spacious and very clean but when we opened the back door the view was spectacular.
It's a very laid back place, the staff are friendly I ended up booking for another week.
It's such a relaxing place, I would definitely go back"
