The staff was really nice and helpful. It was our first time together in Kyoto but they explained all the locations to visit in the city and some nice restaurants. If we have the chance to go back to Kyoto, for sure we will stay there again.

Hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt 😎☀️

Das Zimmer war für 3 Personen geräumig , das Etagenbad und die Toilette waren sauber . Das Frühstück müsste man sich selber richten , war aber alles vorhanden (Toast , Marmelade , Cornflakes ,Kaffee ,Tee ......) , es ist weiter zu empfehlen wenn man günstig ,sauber und ohne viel Schnick Schnack Urlaub machen will .Wir würden wieder kommen .

Value for money.very clean with good facilities.remember it is a hostel and not hotel .bathroom and toilet is common .cleanliness in Japan is top notch and this is reflected in Fujiyata in spite of being hostel . Very close to Tambaguchi station on SAN -in line.JR pass valid for this line

Grosse déception

Attention à ne pas vous laisser avoir comme moi par la description de cet hébergement. Déjà il ne s’agit pas d’un hôtel mais d’une auberge de jeunesse. Vous aurez bien un espace individuel mais qui se limite à un matelas de 2cm d’épaisseur sur 8m2 de tatami. Et c’est tout, tout le reste est partagé : les toilettes, les douches (deux pour neuf chambres, il faut attendre son tour) et même les poubelles. Le petit déjeuner est bien inclus, il consiste à se préparer des toasts à la confiture avant d’aller faire sa vaisselle dans la cuisine. L’annonce de la « consigne à bagages » est mensongère : vous laissez votre valise dans le couloir sans surveillance malgré tout le passage (pas très rassurant). Entre 20h et 8h du matin pas de personnel, les clients sont seuls maîtres à bord. Le reste du temps, pas davantage de service : les chambres ne seront pas rangées durant votre séjour et vous gardez la même serviette tout le long. Le seul personnel vu en 4 jours était limite désagréable lors du check-in. Les logements sont mal insonorisés, d’où des règles absurdes comme l’interdiction de se doucher avant 7h ou de faire une lessive après 19h. Pour finir, l’auberge est dans un quartier sans intérêt et perdue au milieu d’un lotissement résidentiel. Ne comptez pas arriver à la retrouver sans Google Maps et une bonne migraine. Il est compliqué de se loger bon marché à Kyoto mais je suis sûr qu’il y a des hôtels capsules mieux placés et avec un meilleur rapport qualité prix

Great hostel in Kyoto

I had a great short stay at Fujitaya. The day (Sunday) we arrived in Kyoto, they held a takoyaki party in which you could partake (for a small fee) together with other guests and employees. Which was fun. The room was comfortable and the facilities clean. The only negative I can think of was that the walls in the room were thin enough to hear other guests snoring.

思わぬ経験

ゲストハウスに泊まるのは初めての経験でした。部屋には必要最低限のものしかなく（それなりに充分）、共用スペースが広く取ってあって他の泊まり客との交流の場があるのが興味深いと思いました。このゲストハウスは欧米系の宿泊客が多いとのことでしたが私が泊まった時は他の宿泊客は少なく、もっと多い時に泊まれば交流を楽しめたのにと残念に思いました。機会があれば、又利用したいと思います。後、部屋毎のゴミ箱があればいいのになと思いました。

Great, affordable, comfortable

The staff were amazing amd helpful. We had a lovely stay. Facilities were clean. Breakfast was cereal, rice, bananas and toast which was better than all the other hostels we stayed at. They had bikes we could rent to get around. It is easily connected to the city centre by bus. There are convenience stores close by and a few eating options that the staff will show you where they are on the map.

Perfekt boende för vistelse i Kyoto!

Otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Fräscha badrum och duschar. Enkel frukost och möjlighet att använda köket för att laga mat. Enkelt men trevligt traditionellt japanskt rum. Skulle absolut bo där igen om jag åker till Kyoto!

Zentrales Ryokan mit sehr freundlichem Personal

Bei der Ankunft haben wir nach dem Ablegen der Schuhe zur Begrüßung Tee und Schokolade angeboten bekommen. Das Ryokan ist in einer kleinen ruhigen Straße und mit einer Station Entfernung vom Zentralen Bahnhof sehr gut zu erreichen. Das Personal außergewöhnlich nett. Die Gemeinschaftsräume und die Küche sind schön. Es gibt gratis Eis, Reis und ein einfaches Frühstück.

Wir fühlten uns dort wie zuhause, das Personal war super nett und kompetent. Alles war gepflegt und sauber. Wir könnten problemlos in ein ruhigeres Zimmer wechseln und eine Nacht dazubuchen.

A lovely friendly place - warm feeling and good atmosphere. Room good size and well thought out with lighting and AC. Quiet neighbourhood with some interesting local eateries which can be recommended by staff. Breakfast is basic uk style - cornflakes and toast which you make yourself.

Amazing staff with great suggestions

We loved our stay here the rooms are a good size. Rooms, bathrooms and common ares are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and gave us a number of great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We really enjoyed the takoyaki party with yuji
