Our stay here was AMAZING! Such a great location, great staff, great room! The hotel is located within walk distance of some amazing food spots and within range of the main shopping areas. We loved that our fridge was replenished every day! Such an amazing stay!

We had an amazing 4 night stay at Mogana. The interior was very cool and the rooms well thought out. Although the location seemed a little removed the neighborhood was great for walking with lots of interesting shops and restaurants. Every staff member we met were incredibly nice, helpful and informative. Really made the stay special. Highly recommend Mogana to anyone looking for unique stay in Kyoto.

Took a two week vacation to Japan. This was our most favorite stay! Breakfast every morning was unbelievable. The attention to every small detail was unmatched from any place we’ve stayed in the world! Next time we come back there’s no reason to look for another stay. This is the place to be!

This boutique hotel is next level in every way. The attention to detail in the amenities, layout and design are impeccable. The beds are comfortable and the duvets are so cozy. The staff are also very courteous and helpful. My only note would be to incorporate some under-mount lighting in rooms as the ceiling lighting can feel a little too much in the evening and early morning. Thank you for an amazing stay!!

We had a fabulous 4 night stay at the Mogana Hotel in Kyoto. We stayed in room 701 which was spacious and had a balcony. The room was well appointed - water, juices, tea and coffee were replenished each day. The staff was very attentive and spoke very good English. We ordered the western style breakfast which was served in our room. It was beautifully presented and more importantly, delicious. There is a very small bar on the second floor that had small but good selection of wine and Japanese whiskey. It was approximately a 20 min walk to the main shopping street Shijo-Dori. We would definitely stay at the hotel again.

What a strange, eery place. Creepy Japanese horror film vibes. From the metal front doors to the intense incense, this place feels like you could get exorcised at any moment. Good location, good breakfast & comfy beds tho
