“Clean and safe location. Located near all of the tourist activities but quite far from town and would require a vehicle. Host was wonderful to communicate with, hot water stopped working and it was fixed within minutes by staff. Overall excellent stay I would book again.”

“The property was in a nice family neighborhood, with friendly helpful neighbors, and a gorgeous view that was accurate as shown in the photos. We loved El Castillo overall. The host advertised this via Expedia as "Entire place - You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party" and that is what I expected we were reserving and paying for. We got there and found it was 2 separate studio rentals on levels 1 and 2 of the house. The landlady was nice……

“Great location. Easy to access due to clear instructions. Beautiful home and very quiet. Host is very responsive. Truly appreciated that! Menus are left on the counter for location recommendations. The only con I have is the bug issue. Upon arrival we noticed a lot of tiny ants. Throughout the stay we also saw spiders, bugs and a geico (small lizard) inside the home. I understand the property is in the jungle however I would suggest having the home sprayed by professionals. The hosts left us bug……

“I had a one-month rental here. I was very happy with the property and location. It was close to town and activities but far enough away that it was quiet. There were several restaurants within walking distance. Luis was an excellent host and the property has everything we needed for cooking, doing laundry, and relaxing at home. ”

“Very friendly people. We speak very little Spanish, but used google traslate when we met the people to check in. We did not cook, basically just spent time in the evenings after our excursions. It was perfect for what we needed. Delicious bakery 1 block away. People are very friendly. This place is not in a "touristy" area, morè in a local family neighborhood. Our family enjoyed our stay! Thank you!”

“Central location to all activities in La Fortuna, very clean and beautiful property. I travelled with my wife and two kids (10 and 13) and fell in love with the place. Spacious inside and outside. Beautiful views from the back and front of the house. After a long day of activities coming back and relaxing in a hammock (2 available) was a highlight for the family. “We loved staying at this lovely home just outside of la fortuna! the property was clean and well stocked and the host was so helpful and quick to respond!Highly recommend having your own car if you book this place as there isnt much within walking distance. no complaints from us though, we were aware of this and had no issues.we felt safe and my kids loved seeing the unique wildlife (birds, lizards etc) right on the property.”
