What a gem! This property is jaw dropping gorgeous from the beautifully appointed house and guest rooms to the million dollar views. It completely exceeded our expectations & is easily worth double what we paid. Delicious breakfasts where we met interesting friendly people, borrowed the kayaks & paddleboard & swam & paddled in the bay right in front of the house. We had vacationed in La Paz before & loved it, but stayed in hotels where we didn't get the relaxing stay we were looking for. This B & B was perfect & we'll return with our adult kids or friends next time.

What an amazing 15**** STAR retreat, My husband and I were very impressed with the large room, authentic decor, super comfortable beds, mini fridge, beach towels, house coats, books, games, paddle boards, kayaks....I could go on and on... Oh Yes, AND ALL on the BEACH.. Very clean bathroom, bedroom.and entire Casa. The dinning area is where the best breakfasts are cooked by the host/owner. Every single thing was "on point". The Decor in the dinning area is Magnificent. There is an abundance of interesting items that will keep your jaw dropped in amazement.The vibe is so tranquile. Surround that with the most helpful lovely owner and assistant. We were so happy and grateful.. i can't wait to return.

Leeanne was very accomodating during my stay. She takes great pains to connect with all guests, makes suggestions as to where to eat or explore. What most impressed me was that she has thought about the little things a guest might need and provides them. IE a touch lamp with 5 pulg-in's for electronics, bathrobes, little fridge pre filled with chilled water, small safe....all those things you never knew you needed. Additionally, her home is tastefully and beautifully decorated with items from her own travels. Subtle touches that make the place feel like home.

Leeanne has a way of making the experience of staying with her at Kootenay magical. She arranged lovely breakfasts, where all the guests would eat, chat and laugh together. She provided kayaks that we paddled off to the Malecon. I felt very pampered. Beautiful waterfront spot with a vast view across the bay.

Casa Kootenay is a delightful place. The hostess makes you feel right at home. The breakfasts are delicious and authentically Mexican. The rooms are clean and the beds soft and comfy. It has beach access, great views and is in walking distance to the Malecon restaurant and shopping district. There's a private courtyard with a pool and an outdoor kitchen for guest use. Just a beautiful, comfortable place to stay.

This place is a gem!
Loved my stay here! Fabulous breakfast, comfy beds, and the ambiance alone is worth the visit. The rooftop terrace overlooking the water is the perfect place for morning coffee and evening wine drinking. walk out the back door and you're off for a stroll along the beach. Leeanne was awesome--lots of shared tips for food and fun and just all around good hospitality.

You will love Casa Kootenay!
My husband and I just had a long, wonderful stay at Casa Kootenay. We loved every minute of our stay and everything about the B&B. We were looking for a location that would be comfortable for a long visit and Casa Kootenay was perfect! The rooms are spacious. The area right outside the room is large and comfortable. The rooftop deck is incredible with breathtaking views! The breakfasts are delicious. Leeanne is friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. It's easy to bike, uber or walk to the Malecon. We couldn't have asked for a better b&b! You will love it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Kootenay. Leeanne and her family were very welcoming and made us feel like home. Our room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The BnB is about a 7 minute drive from El Malecon in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. I will be returning on my next vacation to La Paz because we enjoyed our stay at Casa Kootenay very much. Thank your for everything Leeanne and family.

Muchas gracias por sus comentarios y hospedarse en casa Kootenay. Si, necesitamos tiempo para limpiar a fondo y preparar la habitación para los próximos huéspedes que lleguen. Great location close to town but quiet end. Lovely breakfasts and on the water. Leanne is welcoming. Like staying at a friend’s house. Hot tub and pool. Fantastic top deck for relaxing and sunrise, sunset views.

An enjoyable week in La Paz
I had a good week in La Paz! Leeanne provided great information about where stores were, things to see & do, where to walk and help in getting transportation. She facilitated a date change in a Viator day trip that was cancelled the day I had booked it speaking by Spanish with the local provider. I particularly enjoyed kayaking from the B & B two mornings- one morning kayaking through the mangroves and taking photos of birds. The beach in front is good for walking and the dinner menu at the nearby la Posada hotel is very good. I took the beach bus from the terminal at the Malecon to beautiful Balandra Beach which was another highlight. Breakfast was at 8:30 each day in a friendly family setting providing an opportunity to socialize with other guests and to enjoy a delicious Mexican entree made by the cook.

We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. The property is beautiful and the rooftop deck was a great place to sit with a glass of wine and watch sunset. We had wonderful Mexican breakfasts prepared by Alma. An added benefit are the bikes available for use and the close proximity to the bike path which takes you down to the Malecon. Overall it was a great stay!

We loved everything about Casa Kootenay. Location was right on the beach but also in a quiet area of the city. The facility was private, welcoming, incredibly well taken care of and we felt welcome and at home. The family style breakfasts with the hosts LeeAnne and Herman were something to look forward to each day, and it was a great opportunity to meet the other guests, talk about the area and plans for the day. LeeAnne was so helpful in recommending places to eat, setting up excursions, etc. The rooms where huge with all the amentites you need, small fridge, coffee maker, beach towels, etc.

Great week at Casa Kootenay
We stayed for a week at Casa Kootenay in November, was an excellent experience! Leeanne, Herman, and their dog Ayla were fantastic hosts. Leanne is very knowledgeable of the area, helped us setup our transportation, diving, a massage, and gave some good recommendations on where to eat. Rooms are very nice and clean, beds were comfortable, nice pool and hot tub. They also have a great rooftop setup with a great view of the bay, nice for having a drink and enjoying the sunset. The breakfasts were great and they accommodate our early diving schedule. Also being dog people it was great having a big dog (Ayla) there to love on get our dog fix missing our pups at home. We will definitely be back!

What a great place, everything was just perfect. Great location and Leeanne is such a great host! Water just in front to envoy paddle boards and wonderful refreshing swimming pool for warm and sticky days! Breakfasts were soooo good :)

Relaxing B &B on the beach
We only stayed one night but loved our time there. The rooftop patio overlooking the ocean was terrific. It was so relaxing to stay right on the beach and have the quiet of a small B&B too.

Couldn't have been better!
We had a wonderful time at Casa Kootenay. The setting is gorgeous and Leigh Ann has done wonderful things with the property, multiple seating areas, a second floor balcony with incredible views of the Sea of Cortez, amazing breakfasts and very comfortable rooms. She had many recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We ended our stay with wine and cheese on the balcony with the other guests.

We loved the whole feel of the property and actually stayed there instead of exploring La Paz! The rooftop terrace was stunning, as were the breakfasts. We enjoyed meeting other guests and the inclusiveness of our hosts (even though we declined an invitation to visit the carnival in La Paz, but that's only because we wanted to make the most of the beautiful property :))

A gem on the waterfront close to the Malecon!
This was a great little gem, just a stone's throw from the Malecon. We loved hanging out on the roof, laying out on the daybed catching the breeze, after a day on the water (they have paddle boards available for guests). Leanne, our host, was so helpful with everything from airport transport, to restaurant recommendations. The rooms are immaculately cleaned, and breakfast was awesome - great coffee! We will be returning again at the end of the year.

Best place in la Paz hands down.
Loved this place!!! This is definitely the place to stay in L a Paz. No question. Rooms are large and nicely appointed. Love the fridge and the daily fresh water. The grounds are fabulous. Hot tub jacuzzi outdoor kitchen tables loungers rooftop terrace water equipment bikes. Breakfast is included and super yummy. Traditional Mexican fresh fruit and juices baked goods. All awesome. We had a really fun stay. Highly recommend. Hosts Leanne and Herman are delightful - unobtrusive helpfull kind smiling lovely folks.

Casa Kootenay is located in a quiet residential area with a lovely beach access. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the bay our first night viewed from a raised palapa. Our room was sparkling clean and comfortable, with small fridge and tv and wifi. Leanne prepared delicious breakfasts shared family style in her great room. This was a convenient location to explore La Paz and also head out in the region.

AWESOME!
Our stay here was absolutely amazing! We had never stayed at a B & B before so our first experience has us hooked! Leanne has a beautiful,friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere here! We also got to meet her Mom & Dad who were there visiting from Alberta, Canada who we hope to hook up with this summer as we are from there too! We had authentic Mexican cuisine every morning which was quite different than our traditional breakfast back home but was very very delicious! Our room was very clean and had housekeeping service every day. Beds very comfortable! All patio/lounging areas on the property are beautiful! Overall we were very pleased with this accommodation and would highly recommend staying here .

A special retreat in old town, San Jose del Cabo
A charmingly central location near the old town life and far from the resort bubble that has become so much a part of modern Cabo. A short walk to everything, a good restaurant, central old town, the beach...or chill at the pool and talk about your favorite Flora or fauna that surround the pool. A recommended place to stay.
