"We had an overall pleasant stay at this hotel. First of all, we were welcomed by an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They took the time to explain where we could eat, where to shop, and recommended local activities and attractions. Their kindness made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
When we entered our room, however, there was an unpleasant, unnatural smell that wasn’t very inviting. Aside from that, the room was quite clean. The bed was neatly made with plenty of pillows, although we found the mattress a little too soft for our preference.
The bathroom was well stocked with towels and even included makeup remover wipes, which was a nice touch. One thing we would suggest is adding body wash. There were several bottles of shampoo and conditioner, but no body wash available.
A couple of small details could also use more attention. When we turned on the light fixture, we noticed quite a few dead bugs inside it. We also found an old coffee filter left in the coffee maker, and it had started to develop mold. Before making coffee the next morning, I had to clean the coffee maker and throw the old filter away.
Despite these issues, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, the views are beautiful, and the staff truly made a positive impression. With a little more attention to room maintenance, this would be an outstanding place to stay."
"Stayed here for one night when we went Whale watching. It was a self check in property but the hosts responded very quickly when I asked questions. The actual apartment was a bit dark but it was in the basement so to be expected. There were all the amenities needed which was great as we cooked dinner there that night. It was far from any town so you have to make sure you either bring food or eat before you get there but is very convenient to the East ferry if you are going Whale watching on Brier island!"
"This was an exceptional cottage. Cosy, right by the lake, peaceful, private and absolutely perfect. Host also went all out with providing us not only with all basic necessities but so much more. This was the best rental I’ve had and I’ve been to dozens over the last 5 years or so. We absolutely loved it and hope to be back again one day."

Bright, spacious Acadian Home with country views and in reach of Acadian Shores!
10/10 Excellent
"The house is very clean, spacious and in a great location for visiting various places while in the area. There was a slight issue while checking in however host was very helpful in resolving the problem which really was beyond his control so we were very happy overall. The sunsets were awesome and the wild flowers on the property were spectacular, it was also great to see all the various birds flying around the property. Would definitely stay at this location again, host was extremely quick with communications and very easy to deal with, everything in the home worked great, we were very happy with our visit and would stay at this property again in the future."
Home from Home - Cosy Cottage in Whale Watching Country
8/10 Good
"The host Diane is amazing and her apple pie was delicious. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was comfortable and clean but there needs to be a ALOT of weed eating done. The TV is to small for the space and has limited channels. Although it is a smart TV, Peter (the owner) has it password protected so no other apps can be downloaded. Netflix was available. Although the listing states it has a view, if the trees get any bigger there wont be. The location suited us because we were on our motorcycle touring the area and was close to the islands. Its a little bit of a drive to town for supplies and dinner out. BEWARE of the instructions where you turn into Tommy's Branch Rd. There is a tiny sign on a tree which is after the big road sign. We had a great stay but if we ever return we would choose somewhere closer to Digby."
