I was very happy to find this good value for money hotel when I came to Maui for the first time. My room number is 301 located at the corner of the building and for two consecutive nights the strong wind outside kept knocking on my door so I couldn't sleep well all night. My experience this time was really bad. Fortunately, I only stayed for two nights and hoped to leave here as soon as possible.

The sea view from room is Fantastic! We can see the neighboring islands(Lanai and Molokai). We pleasant surprised and watched the sunset in the balcony which is very close to (just above) the beach. The kids found out two turtles surfacing in the sea. The parking is free.

Nice, no frills property. Has a basic pool and above ground hot tub. We had a studio and it was nice. Clean. Some ants so everything has to go in the fridge. All rooms have ocean view which is great. Fairly easy parking on grounds. Walkable to some restaurants (3-4).

We were at the property for the biggest storm in 95 years and they did such a good job of keeping things safe for us and getting the hot tub and pool up and running as soon as possible when the storm settled down. We had a great time. Room was very clean, it was quiet, and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking is tricky. Not enough between sands an beach club. We got a ticket the 2nd night for parking on the street. The spots were all taken and both places. Room was great. Area was awesome. We were told we could use gym and some other ammenities at the sands but that wasn't true. Overall great for the price!

We had an amazing time in Maui and this hotel was very cozy with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and all kitchen equipment you need! We had partial ocean view but it was still very nice to sit on the balcony and have a morning coffee. We would come here again.

The beach was beautiful. Beachfront and Oceanfront. Great value for your money. Fantastic for relaxing with a great view. Snorkeling opportunities right on the rocks. Saw fish and turtles. Had an oceanfront studio and had a great view! Saw whales in the distance breaching and playing. So serene. Room was cleaner and gorgeous! Very happy with this ch location. 45 minutes - 1 hour from airport depending on traffic. Right up the street from whalers village. Maybe about 2 miles. The rooms have stove, microwave, toaster, shampoo body wash, soap. Dish sponge and soap. Towels and beach towels provided. It’s a timeshare building but we booked our stay and it was great!

The property had a great location, and the pictures accurately reflected the room. The staff were responsive and took action when needed. However, it is important to keep Hawaii’s laid-back culture in mind when evaluating staff responses. Unfortunately, we encountered an issue with our room at 7th floor. At night, we found roaches in the kitchenette area, which was quite shocking. The next morning, when I informed the staff and requested a room change, they accommodated us immediately and moved us to another room with stunning ocean views, without hesitation or further inquiry. I also noticed larger roaches outside the rental property near the entrance, which I understand can be common in warmer climates like Hawaii. However, the staff’s somewhat nonchalant reaction—rather than surprise—when I reported roaches in the room made me feel that this might not have been an entirely unexpected occurrence. Why I leaving 3 stars here is purely because of the prompt action of the staff regardless and stunning views from the room. Kahana should ramp up with the cleanliness of ALL their rooms and I hope my experience remains an isolated incident.
