Great unit for a full Maui experience

This first level unit worked out great for our stay. It was nice to be able to enter and exit the unit from the lawn (especially for our daily beach excursions with chairs and umbrellas, provided in the unit). The foliage provided sufficient privacy for meals and enjoying the open air. Would definitely consider for another family stay.

Honua Kai NEVER Disappoints

This is my 4th time staying at Honua Kai and it was perfect as usual. This trip included myself, my mom, my fiance's mom and my best friend. We booked a quick trip to get some wedding planning done on the island as we are getting married next year in Maui. Everything was immaculate. Tons of room for all of us to sleep and be comfortable. This is my second time staying on the first floor and I've got to say that it's super convenient having straight access to your unit from the lanai. Quick walk to the pool, market and Duke's. We ate at Duke's every morning we were there and just love it. We love Honua Kai so much that after touring 4 hotel resorts and spas for wedding room blocks, we actually decided just to have our guests stay at Honua Kai. Will definitely look to booking this specific unit for our wedding whether it be for us or one of our guests.

We stayed in this unit for 2 weeks in January as a family of 5 adults and 2 kids. We truly enjoyed our stay. The unit: The unit is modern and comfortable. The kitchen is nice, we cooked several times and even used the oven. We made tropical smoothies with the provided Vitamix blender. The queen size sofa bed in the living room is extremely comfortable, probably even more so than the king size beds in the rooms :) The provided starter pack supplies were generous. The direct garden access is very valuable. We enjoyed having our breakfast and dinner right there. The resort: Resort grounds are very well kept and landscaped. The pools are heated which was a very nice surprise and kids enjoyed the extended time in water without feeling cold. Duke's restaurant is awesome and it is just a few steps away. Resort provides fresh beach towels everyday. Service: Maui resort rentals was very responsive. We had an issue with toilet flush and they fixed it within an hour. They also provided a second pack and play when I asked for it even though they didn't need to. If you stay here, I recommend walking along the beach walk. It is 3 miles from Honua Kai to all the way to Hyatt (6 miles round trip) and it is an awesome walk, especially around sunset time. Good for strollers too. Overall we had a great time. My only complaint could be that there should be a lounge chair in the garden. There are those 2 chairs on the sides but they don't work for relaxing (no cushion and too slippery). Once you have such a gorgeous outdoor space with lush lawn, pergola and coconut trees, it is a crime not to have a lounger.

Exceeded expectations

The resort and condo were wonderful. Everything was easy, convenient and the staff were lovely. We had several (silly) questions for the rental team and they were always gracious and helpful. Between the comfortable beds, pool, beach, Duke’s and the on site shop we completely lost track of the day/time and enjoyed every moment. We can’t wait to get back to Hanua Ki.

Beautiful condo! Very well maintained. Great floor plan. Huge rooms!

We loved staying in this first floor condo. It was so nice to have 2 bedrooms instead of sharing one hotel room. We did get off to a bumpy start. One AC was not working when we arrived. It was repaired within a few hours and all was great. The maintenance guy was super friendly, diagnosed the problem and replaced the part. It is important to note that all communication is with the off site management company. It was a bit of a learning curve for us not to have a "front desk" to contact. It is a very family friendly property. But with so many pools, you can pick the level of activity you want. We loved the boardwalk. It runs parallel to the ocean and goes on for miles. It is a fabulous way to take morning walks/runs. Dukes restaurant was amazing. We had fabulous fish there. We also loved the stores on site... we had great smoothies each day. This is a beautiful condo and I would highly recommend it.

This is a great ground floor unit!

Wonderful walk out unit with very tall ceilings which added to the spacious feeling. Our stay (2 elderly grandparents and 2 grand kids -22 & 24) was delightful. We made great use of the indoors and the outdoor spaces. The resort has many amenities available. Snorkeling from the resort beach was the best we found on the island!

Beautiful condo

Check in was easy but we literally didn’t get keys until 4pm right exactly at check in time. The bell desk was able to hold on to our luggage for us since we arrived early in the day. The condo is large with newly tiled floors in the living room. It’s a textured wood so not slippery at all. The rooms are spacious and bedding nice. The only thing I noticed is that after our midweek tidy the sheets that were put on our bed were terribly pilled and rough compared to what was on there initially. The sofa bed is the absolute worst of any place we’ve ever stayed. My boys never complain of backaches but they’re all ready for their own beds. Chris from Maui resort rentals was accommodating and brought us some extra bedding/padding to help a little with the terrible mattress. Bathrooms were also spacious and nice. We had plenty of towels/beach towels/beach chairs/kitchen tools/bbq tools/etc. The dryer is ventless so it takes a couple of hours to dry a load but it works. Being on the ground floor was perfect for our family. My three boys spent time everyday throwing a football on the large grass area in front of the condo. There’s also enough greenery around the patio that it feels private even though people pass by to head to the pool. This is the first time we’ve gotten a garden type view instead of ocean and now I’m sold. Sitting on the patio listening to the birds and enjoying the breeze has been total relaxation. I’d say the only thing I wish we had upon arrival would have been a lei on the beds. I saw others walking around with them and I assumed we would get them too from the pictures posted and other reviews. If you don’t want to deal with elevators then this unit is amazing! Don’t hesitate to book it!

All you could ask for!

Perfect and Awesome stay!! Beautiful, relaxing, spacious, steps to the pool, beach, good weather, good eats...Everything as advertised!!! Maui Realty has excellent customer service and took care of our extra needs (beach toys, chairs, 2 pack-n-plays, higher chair and booster seat). This is our 2nd Maui trip with our daughter, son-n-law and two grand babies! Start of a great tradition, we will definitely be back!!!

Was a fantastic location and the condo was perfect. Close to the beach and other amenities.

Basically priced the same as a Resort Hotel with all the luxuries of home. The resort facilities were fantastic as was the staff. My only complaints were small things like the shower head should be adjustable and there was no soap dish in the bathroom. But those are of little consequence.

Our room was Impeccable with a beautiful patio. The Honua Kai resort is one of the most beautifully landscaped resorts I have seen! Great pools and the beach was the best part, excellent sand, water and views were tremendous. We watched whales everyday and sea turtles were just off the shore.

Great Family Vacation!

We stayed at 145 Konea for 9 nights this December. The unit was exactly what we wanted... From the fully equipped unit with all our cooking essentials to the massive ground balcony and ground floor living space. Even with 6 adults in the unit it felt spacious and met our every expectation. We would 100% stay in this unit again.

Fabulous!

It is always a pleasure to stay at Honua Kai! This particular suite is very clean, modern, and convenient. There were ample beach towels, beach chairs and MRR provided us with a pack n play, very nice to not need to pack or rent one. We called the maintenance crew late Friday about our refrigerator and they were quick to help and followed up the following day. I would recommend this place to all friends and family. We typically stop at Costco and Safeway on the drive in for food and drinks. We always enjoy the sunsets at Duke's on property, Hula pies, mai tais, such a great place! We miss it already.
