"Had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Originally a prison, it has been converted into a quirky, comfortable hotel retaining many of the features. The bedrooms were cells, small but well equipped with ensuite bathrooms. The position is slightly outside the centre of Stockholm but all the better. Situated on a lovely peaceful island within walking distance to Gamla Stan and the museums. The breakfast is amazing with an enormous variety of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly...

"I knew that I'd be sharing the bathroom, so I was prepared for that. But what I didn't know was that my room didn't have any window at all! I found it quite depressing not having a window. If I had known, I wouldn't have booked here at all & I wouldn't mind paying a bit more to have a window. In addition, using an app to unlock the room that's so hard to open was insane. The door opener above the door made it difficult to push the door open -- requiring both hands to push it open. It...

Top Lake Mälaren Hotel Reviews

Downtown Camper by Scandic

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent hotel, close to all and breakfast was excellent"

Hotel C Stockholm

8/10 Good

"I chose a room without a window (cheaper). It was nicely wall-papered so I didn't feel I was in a box! - But I had to keep the bathroom lights on and that door mostly closed in order to have SOME sort of light during the night! So I recommend bringing a night-lite to plug in. - I could only find one electric outlet in the room - the hotel was incredibly close to where the Arlanda Express stops, as well as the city's "Central Station," so it was a great location - the staff at the desk were very helpful - the breakfast had nice variety"
