Muskoka, Cozy 3 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom Cottage located on the coveted Lake of Bay

Stunning, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, open concept cottage on the coveted Lake of Bays. Located in the Northeast corner of Muskoka, this property offers a large dock overlooking the water, with a shallow and sandy shoreline for safe family waterfront fun. The large living room offers a spectacular lake view. The living area
includes a wood burning fireplace creating a cozy and bright space. The spacious master bedroom (located on main floor) boasts a queen size bed plus a bunk bed with a pull out mattress (bunk bed sleeps three). The second bedroom has a generous amount of room with a queen bed and closet. The third bedroom features a bunk bed that includes closet space as well. There is also a futon in the living room that can easily accommodate another guest. Cottage includes two washrooms, one on each floor. 1st floor bathroom includes a bathtub and shower.

Located minutes from local shops, snowmobile trails, hiking, dining and world class golfing!

Please ensure that all garbage is placed in clear bags when you dispose of it at the end of your stay. Please note that all garbage must be placed in clear bags. Disposal in black bags will result in an additional charge when taking garbage to the dump

The cottage is equipped with central heating in the winter and a log fireplace for your enjoyment. (Firewood not provided). There are also fans provided in every bedroom, including an overhead fan in main living area.

Large back deck overlooking the water includes use of a gas and charcoal BBQ. (Propane provided).

There is a great stone fire-pit located in the large back lot for your nighttime enjoyment.

All linens, towels, dishes, Microwave, Coffee Machine, kettle, cutlery, pots and pans are provided for your stay. A washer/Dryer is also located on site for your use. (Supplies not included). Although the water is potable there is a water cooler provided as well (water jug not provided).

Large front driveway can accommodate up to 6 cars.

This is a pet and smoke free environment.

All roads are plowed by the city during winter months making for easy access during snowfall months.

Our family had an amazing stay at this cottage. The location is gorgeous! It was very clean and well stocked and had a beautiful view through picture windows, of Lake of Bays. Our one and a half year old granddaughter loved the sandy beach and getting a ride on the kayak and paddle boat. We hiked in Algonquin every day and we were lucky to see a black bear. two foxes and a moose.We hope to come back soon! Highly recommend.Suggestions for Improvement: Bedroom windows that can open; kitchen scissors; more kitchen towels and a drain rack.

Beautiful Place

Kids had a blast and so did the adults. Lots to do at the cottage and Algonquin park isn’t far to do some trails. Saw a moose and black bear!!

The surrounding cottages were so welcoming and let us use many of their water toys as well as what the cottage supplied. It was truly a unique experience for my granddaughters from Scotland. Two Weeks of Relaxation

The property was exactly as describe in the description. We spent a lot of time down by the water utilizing the water "toys" that were available. the kids all had a good time swimming and fishing (catching about 40 fish). I would definitely recommend this destination to anyone and would go back myself.

Everything you could want for a summer getaway - great deck and bbq area, sizeable lawn area for yard games, great dock stocked with rafts, inflatables etc. be aware neighbours are close by on either side, but very friendly people!

Cottage vacation

We had such a wonderful week at John's cottage. We spent countless hours on the dock and in the water. My 7 , 5 and 2 year old all loved the water mat and paddle boat. There was plenty of room for all of us in the cottage. It was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. We are already talking about booking again for next year. We would highly recommend!!

Great clean cottage

This was a fantastic week enjoyed by my family. The cottage is amazing and very well kept. Newer deck and dock were fantastic. The water was great. We did have to grab more water for the cooler and toilet paper as they was only 3 rolls left for 6 people. If that's our only downfall then I know we did very well. Great property, great and easy communication with owners. Very highly recommended.

A Great Getaway

Modern 3-bedroom cottage. Beautiful property on the Lake of Bays. Picture windows viewing the lake. New large deck attached to cottage, and new dock at the lake. Well-appointed throughout : kitchenware, bedding, etc., and 2 kayaks. No A/C but ceiling fans and floor fans throughout, so no problem there. Dwight a 3 minute drive away, Huntsville 20 minutes away, and Algonquin Park gate about 30 minutes away. We had a great time !

Wonderful Property

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to recommend this cottage! John was an amazing host, very responsive and kind. The cottage was very clean and cozy and well stocked with everything we needed. The property was great and we had fun skating on the lake, building a quinze, and stomping out showshoe drawings in the snow. We read and played cards in front of the fire every night. Having 2 bathrooms and central heating were additional comforts. A few snowshoe trails were within walking distance or more trails and cross-country skiing a short drive to Algonquin. Groceries, firewood and gas easily accessed. We even grabbed take-out pizza in Huntsville. We would definitely stay here again! :)

Wonderful

We had a wonderful week at the cottage of John and Francesco. Everything we could have needed was available. Cottage is beautiful, clean, well equipped with everything. First time in years we had all our adult children together. Absolutely marvellous. Beautiful sunrises and spectacular full moon experiences while we were there. Thank you John for checking in with us to see if we needed anything. We will definitely try to make this a return visit next year.

Great location - access to Algonquin but bring your own towels and sheets

Pros: The property and cottage are spacious and has nice water front. It was a cold week so we did not swim much-but the deck and dock area are very nice and easy access for swimming. Would have liked a canoe, easier to stay dry than the open kayaks, which we ended up not using. As its close to Algonquin, we were in the park every day-takes about 45 minutes drive to get to hikes at the middle of the highway 60 corridor, great hiking, bicycling and canoeing so the week overall was a great experience. The internet worked reasonably well for the country side, there is TV, comfortable seating, all the dishes etc you need. Cons: The property advertised all linens, but when we got there there were 3 bath towels and no hand towels -we had reserved for 5 people and it sleeps 9- we had to call the owner for a couple more towels- should not advertise full linens if not provided. The rules of the cottage say to remove all garbage, but the previous visitors had filled a bin outside that the animals had got to- and it was a mess....the owner had it cleaned up next day, but still, was not a good first impression. Then the sheets on the bed were odd- some had 2 sheets but some just one and a duvet cover. The master bedroom had the only Queen and it had no bottom sheet, just mattress cover, and a double top sheet on a Queen mattress- didn't fit so next day we ended up going to Huntsville to buy a set of sheets at Walmart. We had to wash many of the dishes before use, as there was caked on food many of them. Overall, for the price charged (over $3000 a week with all the charges added in), the standards of linens, dirty dishes, overall impression were a bit below expectations, but we did enjoy the week.

The cottage has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. A central air would be a bonus but during our stay, we had a decent weather so the ceiling fans in each area of the house were enough. The location is awesome and right on the lake. The owner was very accommodating and despite our slight mishap, he was very gracious and understanding and answered all questions promptly. I highly recommend this place!
