We enjoyed the views they are lovely from the deck and the beds are comfortable and clean - ample sheets and covers. The kitchen has lots of pots but bring a carving or utility knife for chopping. You need to use the water jugs provided for drinking as well as cooking. A house guide or welcome book would have reduced the number of calls to the host. It is close to Algonquin park and arrowhead park for hiking. You can take the canoe out on the lake but not walk in beach access as it is weedy and lots of lily pads in water. You can jump off dock and swim to platform. The owner responds quickly to inquiries as we had several issues over our 4 day stay with dishwasher broken a( advised the day we were coming to house- we were fine to wash dishes for the duration of our stay while they wait for parts). We were woken at 5am as fire alarm that went off perhaps because of storm or power surge. The electrical breakers tripped using the hair dryer provided turning off a light but that unknowingly also turned off the fridge. The oven was rattling while in use so we did not use it further. The property needs some updating in regards to fixing appliances and addressing some issues with fire alarms and and safety of guests ( you cannot access the basement which is under renovation without a separate code that the owner has to provide to us to be able to flip the breakers back. ). The bedroom sliding doors do not open which provides no exit in the room in event -real fire
