Fire the housekeeper

So first things first, overall the place was OK. It was mostly peaceful and quiet, except on the weekends when you could hear gunshots and ATVs riding off in the distance well into the night. Secondly, when we pulled up, I was greeted with a Trump flag right on the gate. If I could’ve gotten a refund at that point, I never would’ve went in the house. Next pull down the covers on the bed and it was quite apparent that these sheets were not washed they were slept in. Because it was late my wife and I pulled the blanket up through our own blanket over top and crashed for the night. I made the choice not to deal with the person who owned this place, because of the flag that was on the front. The next morning I purchased my own set of sheets for the bed. When I pulled the bedding down to change the sheets, there was at least a half a dozen or more piss, stains all over the mattress cover. We removed the cover ourselves. I would’ve left it on the porch but my wife washed it. It’s clean on the surface and overall the location was fine until the weekend. Also in the middle of the week and air-conditioning maintenance person shows up completely unannounced. The homeowner sent me an email about it about four hours after the guy was already gone. I left the young man do his work. It took him about an hour. I asked him if he would’ve went in if we weren’t there and he said yes. Cameras on all four corners of the house outside felt like I was under surveillance.

The property was safe and peaceful. we were there for a wedding so were gone during the day and a lot at night. Not afraid to move around after dark coming in. Beds were great. Used washer and dryer they were good. Did not do much cooking but we had to master the use of the TV. Last day I got the recliner to work. My bifocals would not let me look down and see the buttons.

Lake placid hidaway

House was very clean, organized, kitchen well stocked, coffee pot small for big coffee drinkers and secluded. Comfortable beds. Close enough to surrounding areas to do many things. The road was not the greatest, but that’s to be expected for privacy and seclusion.

Clean & comfortable

We had a relaxing stay while visiting family in the area. It was sparkling clean, had plenty of beds and the temperature control was fantastic. The kids enjoyed having some toys to play with and some shows to watch. Internet, hot water, and all the facilities were on point. Highly recommend!

Great Lake Placid Hne

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting our son for Christmas. The house is absolutely clean and fresh. It is well equipped with everything you need. It was beautiful to sit on the back porch looking at Lake Helen. You feel like you are out n the country even though it is an easy drive into town.
