"We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended!"

The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. "We had an amazing week at Ullswater Cabin. The cabin itself was perfect for a week for a family of 4 with children aged 7 and 10. They loved the table tennis and pool facilities. The location of the cabin is great both on the site itself and within the lakes. We didn’t need to drive for more than 20 minutes to go anywhere (we could have if we wanted to but didn’t need to) and fitted so much into one week. Would definitely recommend. "

"Booked this via VRBO and was forwarded to Hereward Cottages. Upon booking we were under the impression we had 4 bedrooms to use as we pleased - however, we were told (pretty rudely via email) the 4th bedroom was only suitable for children (even though the beds would have easily held a fully grown adult on the bottom bunk). We'd also booked two dogs but didn't check this at time of booking, again, being told pretty rudely 'they would have to check' this was ok (it was btw!).All in all the actual...

"Free parking, lovely place, however the room advertised that I booked was not the room we were given, but still a very nice room non the less. 10 minute walk away not the centre for food and drinks, great seating facilities inside and outside of the property with a great view. Overall still very happy with my booking. "
