Luxor Hotel and Casino

Luxor Hotel and Casino

8/10 Good
"My review is based on a 3 night stay. The first room (yes, first) was in the pyramid. It was nicely remodeled, the bed was very firm (which was great!) and the bathroom was large with a very nice shower and waterfall shower head which was awesome. But, then it rained....and the window in our room leaked excessively and flooded the seating and carpet. We were moved to a tower room for the last night. Meh. The bed was insanely soft (boo), the room was fine (although the wifi/tv reception was far better than the pyramid) but the bathroom was ADA inclusive which made the shower super small/cramped and the sink had zero counter space. Didn't love, but could live with it for a night. But, then - a huge domestic fight broke out in the room directly across the hall from us for over an hour. Security, then police were involved. Our room was essentially blocked and we couldn't leave. Luckily, the situation was resolved safely. I spoke to Angela at the front desk at 6:30am the next morning prior to check out. She agreed we had a little too much unexpected action. She comp'd our valet and daily resort fees, which I greatly appreciated. The location if you are going to a game at Allegiant is a short walk - def recommend. I'd stay here again if I am going to a game. As for the restaurants/casino/pool - meh. Used all, they're average at best. The food at the Public House was ok, the cafe was a disappointment. I'd still give it 3.5/4 stars though, mostly for the staff assistance."

"Hotel is a bit dated, I don’t think k anyone checked our room before it was assigned to us. One of the drawers wouldn’t close, there was an old chipped chair and even on one of the walls was a little hole. The casino had a loud cigarette smell (I was at other casinos and the smell was not so strong). I asked for assistance who to report the issue with the drawer, I had to go to 3 different employees just to make that report. Not enough employees available to check in. There was 3 out of 8 available spots. Wasn’t so satisfied with the breakfast."
