Inside, a queen bed faces the forest through floor-to-ceiling glass — the feeling of sleeping among the trees is not a
metaphor, it's what actually happens. The spa-inspired bathroom features a walk-in shower. A thoughtfully equipped
kitchenette handles everything from slow mornings (drip coffee and French press at the coffee station) to easy meals
(single-burner stovetop and air fryer). The cabin is designed for couples seeking quiet and immersion — not a full resort experience, but something more intentional.

Outside, a private hot tub and wood-burning fire pit are set into the surrounding trees. Lounge seating for two with outdoor blankets, a propane grill, and the particular stillness of a Hocking Hills night complete the picture. This is where evenings end well.

Thoreau is one of two mirrored retreats at Notestone Reserve — a thoughtfully designed 14-acre property in the heart of Hocking Hills. Its position at the lower end of the grounds, surrounded by trees, gives it the greatest sense of separation and quiet of any cabin on the property. Your indoor and outdoor spaces are fully private.
As a guest of Notestone Reserve, you also have access to the shared community game room — pool table, basketball arcade, classic arcade machines, large smart TV, and board games. It's there when you want it and entirely optional when you don't.
