When we arrived at the hotel there was a power cut. We were unable to check in and we were unable to access our room and we were told that the very earliest we could expect the power to return was 8:00 p.m. this was 4 hours after our arrival time. We were unable to use the room. We had a special dinner in Leeds that we had to be prepared for and we were planning to use the room to have a relaxed start to our evening. We were left. No choice but to book a more expensive room last minute at a hotel close by. I have contacted the Best Western and Expedia for a refund and this has been declined on three occasions. I find it absolutely ludicrous that the product I purchased was not able to be used and I wasn't able to have a full refund. To compound my disappointment, when I initially contacted Best Western, they simply told me that when Expedia reached out to them, they would process a full refund. However this has been declined on two occasions according to their refund policy. I feel let down by both Expedia and Best Western on this matter. I do not feel both companies have my interests at heart both as a consumer and as a valued customer.

The staff were great, I couldn't fault them, what I did disagree with is the parking charge to park in your carpark, you are at the side of a motorway and there is now where else to park. The cost of breakfast is very expensive. The tV in our room was broken. There are no plug sockets at the side of the beds either.

Staff were excellent - personable and efficient. Nice room - good size and decor. Facilities were fine but we didn’t use all of them. The disappointing factors were being charged to park at the hotel - couldn’t find this in the hotel booking! - and no one had cleaned the fridge - someone’s food left overs in a plastic tub!

The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Lovely to have a fridge in yhe room. Staff were very helpful & friendly. A lovely one night stay whilst attending a wedding party. £5 parking fee, not excessive but no mention about this when booking. Might as well just add £5 to the room rate and not have those unsightly signs everywhere.

Checked in only to find out that the restuarant was not open so had to go out and get dinner. On the website parking is quoted as £5. Not able to pay this on reception so forced to use a QR and total cost including text and service charge was £6.39. Whilst it won't break the bank it is the principal of false advertising.

Room tidy but not a Queen room I would call a Queen room , no better than a good travel lodge room On arrival no undercover parking as advertised On arrival met my not an over professional lady on mobile to friend eating half bowl curry placed on counter Then informed breakfast 7:30 not 6:30 as advertised so no breakfast as had to be away by 7am hence the booking Then told no chef so no restaurant , that’s not mentioned in advert or informed after booking , miles from anywhere as a visitor after travelling 4 hours , not what you want Corridors smelt dirty , over looking a scrap yard so not as advertised This is a serious case of false advertisement and I’m a regular user of hotels.com but this is the second hotel falsely advertised and the comments made , well , these people clearly have low standards or clearly no morals in sorry to say and I’m no snob, I can slum it with the best and have but when it says all the good things it says then you expect to arrive and find them Overall Very disappointed , would NEVER use that hotel again even if it ment sleeping in my car Need a serious review before advertising again and hotels. Com well you need to review some of these fees back points as your poor feed back is always under the good reviews and it’s not fair when your trying to promote the hotel

When I arrived at what looked like a derelict building, I was completely ignored by three staff members who were chatting at reception. After eventually being checked in, I was told there was no chef on duty and that the restaurant was closed, far from ideal considering the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The room itself was passable, but not particularly clean. I wasn’t convinced the bedding was fresh, the bathroom blinds were covered in mould, and the shower looked like it hadn’t been descaled in decades. Overall, it felt very much like a very low star hotel.

Arrived at 8 P.M. and informed that the restaurant is out of operation that week. No notification prior to the arrival. A cobweb hanging from the ceiling, Aircon unit not operational. Cold breakfast only, bar boiled eggs and coffee. This made for an interesting stay. No more Best Western for me, thank you.
