Hotel refurb very nice, bedroom very nice , staff need to have uniforms or badges very scruffy in own causal clothes. Breakfast very poor needs more variety not fitting with the smart look of the hotel. Bar and restaurant need more of a cosy feel

Lovely hotel. Staff accomadating. Only issue is there are NO drawers in the rooms to put small items of clothing. There is a hanging rail but no storage for other item, so had to leave most things in the suitcase

When we arrived our room was heated to around 27 degrees and an apology note saying the air con was not working yet. It took quite some time for the room to cool down when we opened all the windows. The one elevator wasn’t showing floor numbers we later found out but made a lot of guests think it was broken making them tackle the stairs to get to their rooms. After asking if it was the only elevator that’s when we were told it was just the display not working but being the only elevator it took some time for it to arrive etc. The hotel staff were all great and courteous and all willing to help. I think when the hotel is finished it will be a lovely place to stay and we would certainly go back when it’s complete.

Beautiful building, excellent location, really comfortable bed & gorgeous bedroom. We arrived around 12.30 our room was ready but couldn’t get in till 3pm or had to pay £20 which I think it isn’t necessary if the room is ready. Breakfast was nice but no menu on table eg: if wanted fried eggs, boiled or poached or porridge. Spread was ok but lacking of choices: no cheese, no cold meat, no tomatoes etc.. only 1 machine to make hot drinks maybe need of a machine to only do teas.

The checking in receptionist was exceptionally helpful. Went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The recently refurbished room was wonderful, absolutely clean and it was as if I was sleeping in my own bed. We also had the dinner in the restaurant which was great, good value for money, more importantly all freshly prepared and not from frozen. Overall experience exceptional, would have given it 5* had on one occasion the elevator not been working.

Lovely refurbishment. The room was clean, bed comfy and had everything we needed. Fresh milk in the fridge for our tea was a nice little extra. Awesome shower with top quality toiletries. Perfect location for the railway station and city centre. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

At October 2025 this hotel was not ready for reopening. There are too many things not right yet. Problems with building noise at 8.30am, as well as the room I was in not being finished. Add in a window that could not be closed so the noise of bins being emptied in the early hours was unavoidable. I was promised a callback from the duty manager. Still waiting.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful The hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment and looking amazing. The only minor downside to our stay was the air conditioning/ heating not working as a consequence of the refurbishment. The brilliant staff had a portable heater put in our room within minutes. Excellent service from excellent staff. Looking forward to staying again.

Night in Leeds

Hotel was undergoing renovation when we stayed so there was some noise going on. In addition, there was a lot of outdoor noise during the night. (I know the hotel can't control what happens outside, but double glazing might help). The Aircon in the room was out of order so it got quite warm (we kept the windows closed to try to keep the noise level down) Other than that, the room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good

We stayed during your renovation period which reduced the use of facilities but in no way reduced our enjoyment of this lovely hotel. Our room and bathroom were superb, it's right in the city but not in a noisy area, the renovations look like it will be an amazing place to stay and it's brilliant that this beautiful building will remain as a hotel.
