"Interesting one. Stables is quite secluded within a large park. I arrived in the evening. I was the only guest and there was a message directing me to my room. Excellent bedroom lots of space, well appointed bathroom with bath and shower. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in for a long time. Room information provides suggestions for places to eat but it’s a bit of a trek to the main road and a bit confusing in the dark. Freshly cooked breakfast was really good "

"Room was small and a bit dated but a large balcony and we were lucky with the sunshine so we did sit out for a while each day. It would be beautiful in the summer ! That said the hotel is lovely, comfortable with lots of lively places to sit and read. The food is excellent - fantastic meal three courses for 33 pounds and well worth it.
