It was the perfect relaxed vacation to celebrate my husband’s retirement and for me to recharge and be ready to go back to school and teach for another year.The cottage was just the right size for the 2 us and had everything we needed including laundry facilities and a cute little dishwasher to minimize chores. ”

“Great cabin, very responsive and kind hosts, great location. We stayed for a long weekend with two little kids- great location for hiking and sight seeing. The kids loved the hot tub and loft area. The only suggestion I would have for families with kids is to bring a gate, the stairs are steep. Otherwise we had a great time. Will definitely re-book!”

“This cabin was tucked away from the main road, giving a good balance of privacy and easy accessibility to lots of hiking options. Check in was super easy, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and while small, the shower offered great water pressure from its wide shower head. The deck was great for doing yoga on and the washer/dryer was convenient. We loved getting ice cream from the place down the street!”

“What a great trip we had in Lake Placid. The house was great and the location was beautiful. Very close to the lake with a nice front deck and covered porch at the front as well. It was also just a few minutes from town and stores. Very short walk to a marina for boat tours and kayaking and small swimming area at the lake. HIGHLY recommend!”

“Cozy, cute, comfy, private, and tranquil indeed. Didn’t want to stay in busy Lake Placid, which was not too far for me. The sauna and hot tub were a huge plus. 5 stars for two nights. If more nights, it probably would be a 4 star for me because it was not really roomy for me, a big guy. The host communicated and responded well. You can use hosts’ two small kayaks and enjoy paddling in Mirror Lake!”
