Curacao Luxury Holiday Rentals
8/10 Good
"Curaçao Holiday Vacation Rental: Violet Blossom Pro: The large outdoor patio living space was nice. Close parking to our unit. The grounds were lovely and the pool is nice. The beach is nice, but the lawn chair issue took away from the enjoyment of the beach and pool. (See cons)The grounds and the unit were clean. We enjoyed the view from our patio. It’s a very close walk to Mambo Beach BLVD where there are restaurants and beaches. If you leave the front door and back door open there is a lovely breeze that flows through the unit. The staff were lovely and were very available when we had questions or needed anything. We felt safe. It was a very quiet and relaxing place to spend our vacation. Cons: #1 Lawn Chairs by the pool and beach are torture. Hard plastic that hurt to sit on. I ended up going to Mambo Beach and paying additional money to rent a comfortable chair. #2 Our unit had a water leak in the hall bathroom that was coming from another unit. Water was pooling on the bathroom floor our entire stay. Staff came to look at it many times but it was never resolved. #3 The oven didn’t work. Someone came to show us “how to use it”, but it literally did not work. #4 The dryer is unvented and the water catcher barely had any water it in but instead it heated up the whole bathroom and everything in the bathroom got soaked. #5 The Wifi is only available in the unit and not at the pool or beach area."

"Breakfast is really good. However, I would include it in the price of the stay right away."

"Great location, beautiful new apartments near restaurants, beach, and entertainment. We had a few maintenance glitches such as a key that didn’t work and left us outside multiple times trying to get in the apartment. Management was prompt after the second time and had a locksmith address the issue. Minor leaks in bathroom ceiling and AC in bedroom that leaked down walls were addressed promptly same day. Had electrical issues that popped the circuit breaker twice. It was very close to the beach and shopping but it was a little loud at night with people partying at a club. Need ear plugs and white noise app. Management friendly and responsive . Overall, a good stay! Would recommend a welcome folder with map, wifi for pool and general information on the area would be helpful to future guests."

LionsDive Beach Resort

"The staff, facilities and amenities were wonderful. The water is clear and great easy areas to snorkel. Lots of food options within the resort and next door. It you have a choice regarding what building to stay in, the one that's along the beach closest to chill bar. You'll see the sunset from there. The "spa" is simply a treatment room but the massage and service was excellent. I heard many rave about outside massage as well. They provide reusable water bottles and a beach bag. Definitely a nice touch. The personal at the dive shop was not the friendliest my first visit but did a great job the following day. Overall I would highly recommend. Super relaxing! We did not leave the resort the entire time we stayed!"

"We stayed in a family suite which was very nice and spacious. The kids had their own bedroom. The room was clean upon arrival but housekeeping only came once during our 4 night stay. I needed to request coffee and clean towels a couple times. It was nice to have a kitchen however there is no cooking essentials such as oil or salt and pepper. The location was good however we had to access the beach through another resort for an accessible path. The pool was out of service while there as well. We stayed here for accessibility and the use of the beach wheelchair they advertised. Come to find out to use the beach wheelchair is $16- no matter how long you want it, even just an hour. We got a day pass at Avila and they offered their beach wheelchair free of charge. Honestly, I would have preferred to stay at Alvia or Loins Dive."

"The staff, Cindy and Hector, were excellent. The Villa on the Papapagay Resort was excelllent! I am not an AC person, so for us to have control of our own AC in our own 2 bedrooms was just wonderful. We had our own bathrooms too. The 80 degree weather with the continuous breeze from the huge wrap around porch (with the native birds visiting us) into the livingroom/kitchen added to our wonderful experience! There were only a few photos when I booked it, so I was pleasantly surprised. The 3-10 minute walk to the pool, beach and supermarket was perfect! The entertainment (DJs and band) and boutiques on the busy beach were great too! I am still talking about it to my friends and would joyfully stay there again! Cabs are expensive, so it is better to rent a car but Cindy Hector and another guy at the front desk that I cannot recall helped us with that. Peace Maria"

"Everything was amazing. The only thing I didn't care for was the "pool" but I would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"Was an amazing stay! The property is well kept and bigger than I thought. Having an adult pool was really nice and peaceful! We added their breakfast to our stay and had a lot of options and was delicious. From the resort it’s about a 5 min walk to Jan Thiel Beach, grocery store and many restaurants, shops and snack bars! My only complaint is that if you decide to dine for dinner at the resort restaurant they are pretty slow so don’t go starving cause it will take a while. We dined out or at Zest on Jan Theil beach instead most nights. Would for sure stay again and highly recommend!"
