Lovely hotel
Had a lovely stay at this hotel, decor a bit dated but overall we had a very comfortable stay and would definitely go back, see ya soon the Evans’s 🙂

NICE HOTEL, BUT GOT FAULTS
GOOD POINTS - friendly staff, good size restaurant, clean, nice surroundings lovely building BAD POINTS - twin bed room very small and basic furniture, not much of it either. single beds had hard plastic cover over mattress, very noisy and uncomfortable, only stayed 1 night, was in agony all night and the next day, would have asked to changed mattress if staying for another night, but didn't realise how bad it was, until sleeping on it. had to wait ages for our breakfast, very rushed, which was very small portioned and no mushrooms, breakfast ok, got plenty of toast which we had to ask for, as we were starving... nice modern en-suite bathroom, but very small, sink tiny, shelf over sink too low, kept bashing my head. modern shower with body sprays, water just trickled out, just pointless having a fantastic shower if it doesn't work !!! was really looking forward to using it too. drinks expensive.

Hi there, Thank you for your review. I am glad to hear our staff and the cleanliness of our Hotel were up to standards. Although, I am sorry to hear you were not completely happy with your stay.Regarding the mattress protectors, they are there for the benefit of our guests and to ensure peace of mind that you are sleeping in a clean fresh bed. Breakfast however I am unsure of whether it was slow or rushed? I am sorry you did not feel the portion size was adequate. We do offer unlimited Toast,Tea and Coffee with a range or cereals to go along side the full English Breakfast. We do ask our guest to bare in mind, we are a Victorian Hotel. This means in order to accommodate en-suits for our guests comfort, some rooms are smaller than others. kind regards Admin at The Evans Hotel

Hotel nice and clean but dated
Hotel was good for a one night stay. Very clean but old and dated. Staff good and breakfast good. No toiletries in bathroom which was tiny.

Hello. I hope you enjoyed your stay with us. Regarding toiletries, there is hand soap, toilet paper and shower gels provided in the rooms. If you required anything else reception would have been happy to help you but nothing was brought to our attention. We are also a Victorian Hotel so obviously the decor has to keep within this style. I am glad to hear you enjoyed our food and that you were happy with the service provided by our staff. Thank you for staying with us and hopefully we may see you again in the future. Lovely hotel close to both the beach &town centre
Lovely family run hotel, very helpful and friendly staff (especially the hardworking restaurant staff), nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be visiting this hotel again!

booked on a late booking the room was a little small but had 2 single beds shower and was clean and fresh towels

We had 3 night stay at the Evans hotel over the Easter weekend.The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the service was fast. We also had 2 evening meals which were excellent. The entertainment was also good.
