“Balmacara Hotel was one of the best properties we stayed at in Scotland. Wish we could have stayed longer than our 2 nights because our view was AMAZING! We had a breathtaking view of Loch Alsh, the mountains around it, and a very clean, spacious room. The staff was very friendly, and so helpful even assisting with our luggage. We were able to rest up after our scenic trip from Inverness to Kyle, then had a fantastic meal downstairs in their restaurant, with another beautiful view of the Loch……

“The hostel was clean and comfortable. Room and bathrooms were very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. The view from the panoramic lounge was amazing and it was well stocked with board games and toys for the children to play with. Torridon is a short walk away with a general store and there is a lovely cafe nearby too. ”

“I loved this place! Everything was fantastic. My room had the largest bed I have ever seen. The place was spotless. Great hot water, big shower with an amazing rain head. Loads of room. Fluffy towels. Nespresso machine.i wish there had been shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I find that shower gel is not a great shampoo. The temperature in the room was fine for this time of year and the windows open but I wonder if that would be acceptable in summer. I did not use the steam room but it’s a nice……
