Wonderful for the budget traveler. Clean rooms, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Perfect hopping off spot to enter Skye without being in the much busier/touristy Portree. Property itself is a bit worn down and in need of a refresh: Squeaky, squishy floors (not wet… they just feel like they may give way under you); windows that don’t open; very bright lighting everywhere; paper thin walls and doors. Not the ambience you see in the hotel pics. If you need a wheelchair accessible room be sure to confirm multiple times; Most rooms and the dining room are down lots of stairs. Worth noting that a few tour buses of people stay here each night.

Hotel is tired and run down and very expensive for the level of cleanliness and amenities. TVs did not work in any of our six rooms and staff were so unhelpful. Good in bar was average, drinks were very expensive and to be honest I think we should have had a refund based on our experience. It was requested but fell on deaf ears…. Avoid as there are much better options.

The view of the hotel is amazing. But be careful that their parking lot is quite small, you might need to park your car besides the ASDA gas station. The breakfast is ok, but not amazing. The hotel is not very soundproof neither. But it's a good place to stay in Ise of sky

Location was great and views were beautiful. Staff were fantastic. Food was fairly normal for Scotland. Bathroom was a little small, but not unusual in older, renovated hotels.
