Hiking getaway
This was our first hike taking our grandchildren ages 4-10. This place exceeded our expectations. We loved the fishing pond, the pavilion to eat and play games, the hot tub, the spacious outdoor area for kids to play, and plenty of room for all to sleep. The communication was great with the owners too. We would definitely go there again and highly recommend it.

The Evans' family vacation
The hosts were extremely nice people. The cabin was very clean, they provided us with anything you could think of inside. The location was perfect. It was so secluded but yet close to town. The shelter house with grill was awesome! They even put new tin foil inside the grill! The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Even during the process of applying for the cabin I felt confident that I was communicating with a owner who is compassionate and welcoming. The cabin surpassed our expectations of the property and the quality of the furnishing are excellent. We had the best nights sleep that we have had in years all three nights that we were their guests. I recommend the owners and appreciate their humor and wit in explaining the rules of the cabin.

Perfect Secluded Getaway

Family retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Red Oak Cabim. The property was clean, well maintained and appointed. Lots of small extras that were much appreciated. Owner was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to a variety of activities near Logan.

Beautiful cabib
The cabin is perfect, the area is perfect! All the amenities were perfect such a great kitchen to make lots of amazing dinners! The only thing that was a negative is I thought we rented a private fishing pond. We hung hammocks by the pond and tried relaxing while the kids slept but a bunch of kids from the cabin across kept coming to the pond playing and being loud when my kids would go to go fishing they would over take our pond and shelter which made me uneasy because we didn't feel comfortable leaving our stuff out at our private shelter. Only thing I wish they made it clear to other cabins the property's are private and they can't be loud and over take other people's area

Thank you for the wonderful review Morgan! We are very sorry about other guests coming over to the Red Oak pond. We would have gladly called them and let them know that they can’t use that pond. It’s actually in their guest directory that the Red Oak pond is not for their use.

Great Experience
My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful cabin! The fishing pond, hot tub and walking paths made for a very nice and relaxing weekend. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Secluded Get Away
We brought our six kids to this little cabin in the woods and had a great time! The private fishing pond was a hit, and with access to Hocking Hills, we were able to spend the day hiking. Hosts were great.

Reconnecting
The property is peaceful and beautiful. The house is very clean, and cozy. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the "solarium" (room off the kitchen with beautiful views) in the mornings having coffee and talking. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was so gracious and welcoming. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all and enjoy the quiet and beautiful countryside, I would highly recommend staying here.

Loved our stay
This home worked great for our family or my wife, me and three daughters. It was very clean and even decorated for the fall season. Our only complaint was the distance to some of the main hiking trails. It was not close enough to come back and forth, so once you left for the day, you were basically out for the whole day. But that worked for us fine. We enjoyed the gas fireplace, the outdoor fire ring, and hot tub. This place was ranked very high and I agree with those rankings and would recommend to anyone.

We chose this house because it was the only one in the area with all 5-star reviews! And I’m happy to add the next 5-star review. While we spent most of our days in the state park exploring caves and waterfalls, we were super excited to find beautiful trails right on the cabin property. Everything was very homey, necessities were supplied in full, and we enjoyed every bit of the house, pond, picnic pavilion, fire pit, and everything else.

Satisfied with the rental experience, owners were great, even reached out to let me know the cabin was ready a little early. On sight fishing pond was good, caught a few snapping turtles though. Cabin was large enough for big groups everything was clean. 4 separate bedrooms and a pullout couch plenty of room. The beds were pretty comfortable. We also enjoyed the foosball and Pac-Man games and spent plenty of time in the hot tub relaxing. Was easy access to attractions and food. Overall, place was great and definitely recommend especially with large groups.

Everything about the cabin was excellent. The check in process, communication, the property, etc. it’s about a 30 minute drive to the Hocking Hills trails but it’s in such a beautiful area, the extra little drive is worth it

Everything we needed was there, dishes towels blankets. The cabin was Beautiful! Having our own pond to fish in was so nice we caught a lot of fish. We even had our own shelter house with a grill we cooked out every night. There was cable on the TV and our boys loved it. We will be coming back to this cabin again.

I rented this cabin for my husband's 30th birthday and 6 of our closest friends! We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Red Oak Cabin! We had plenty of space to relax after a long day of hiking and really enjoyed fishing on the property and the hot tub ! The hot water in the house gets VERY HOT! We had to warn everyone to be careful when adjusting temperatures on the showers and sinks haha! Great water pressure! The only two very minor complaints we had were one - not having anywhere to really put our food away (no pantry or cabinet space open) We ended up using one of the two picnic style tables inside as our "food storage" and the second one was not having a big skillet so we ended up buying a Griddle at Walmart in Logan. Other than those two minor things, everything was great! After this trip, we decided to come down to Hocking every year! Thank you!!

Exceeds Expectations!!
I celebrated my boyfriends 30th birthday party here just this weekend and everything was great. The owners were helpful. They worked hard to clean and salt the driveway, the cabin was very clean, and the jacuzzi was amazing! All my friends were in love and want to come back ASAP. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Stayed in the cabin for a winter birthday weekend. Plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed the hot tub and the grounds. Kitchen had everything need to cook all weekend.

Family weekend at Bear Run.
The experience couldn’t have been any better. After booking the weekend we wanted I received very helpful emails with rules, check in process and helpful directions. The house was emaculate and was furnished with everything we could ever need. We want to go back during warmer weather to enjoy the outside of the property. I highly recommend Bear Run Cabins.

Awesome cabin, beautiful location.
We’ve stayed at many different cabins in Hocking Hills over the years. The Red Oak cabin at Bear Run Inn was by far the nicest one we’ve ever stayed at. The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful, well kept and very clean. The property is beautiful and very relaxing with the picnic pavilion and fishing pond. The location is close to Logan and only a short drive to the area attractions. I highly recommend this property and our family plans on making Red Oak Cabin at Bear Run Inn our yearly destination when we go to Hocking Hills.

Everything was extremely clean and beautiful location! Would definitely recommend staying here! The only minor issue we ran into was some confusion with the realtor box and where to leave the keys, since we couldn’t find any instructions via email or in instructions at cabin.
