The hotel itself is pretty eclectic, lots of different styles. Friendly Staff. We rented the family suite (I believe it's the only one they have) for two adults and two teen boys. The suite had 2 rooms - one with a double bed and the other with a pull out couch that looked to be about a Full size bed. It was a little tight for the boys but they made it work. The bedding was comfortable enough, but the towels were terrible - very scratchy and old. It was pretty odd to me that we could only get bath towels - they didn't have any wash/face cloths or smaller hand towels available. There was a bottle of soap that was labeled for hands/hair/face all in one - which is a no for me. It was fine for us as we brought our own. What wasn't fine is that they didn't offer any bar soap or toiletries at all. Again, not really what I expect from a hotel. The restaurant was only open for breakfast (and no room service); they didn't even have a phone number - just a 'whatsapp' number. Maybe it's a UK thing - but as an American traveling to the UK, I found this hotel was lacking a lot. Their "sister" hotel, Novotel, next door had a restaurant/bar that was just ok. The drinks were good, but the food was awful. Most of the staff were nice, but some of the waitstaff were just rude. The Borough Market is close which was nice.
If you are a single person traveling for business, this hotel is probably fine. If you are a family visiting the UK for vacation, I do not recommend staying here at all.
