Booked this property for my family vacation of 12 people for 8 nights in September 2024. The check-in process was easy - I received the details a few days before check-in and getting into the property was fine. The area of house is located in is decent and in walking distance of shops and restaurants.
The main issue we encountered was the overall cleanliness of the property. The pictures on the listing are dated and the bedding was not as clean as expected. At first, we were just going to accept it (there was a store nearby that we could buy sheets and towels if needed). Then a few hours into check-in day we found bed bugs on one of the rooms. At that time, we then investigated the mattress and pillows more thoroughly and discovered more stains. My family left the property within a few hours same day as check-in; the host and VRBO customer service were notified in order to receive refund. Pictures and videos were sent to VRBO. Status of dispute and refund request is still pending as I write this review 3 weeks later.
If you are still interested in booking, I would suggest you confirm with the host what steps were taken to clean/update the property and exterminate the bed bugs. There should be some formal, certified company that completes that process, not just access to bug spray. If that cannot be proven then I suggest you find another property.
