Front desk old man poker face and impolite. The room is small, price performance ratio is low. Only advantage is near station and walkable to nearby facilities. many hotel surrounding and next to residential area which brings quiet and safe environment.

A choice at discount

This is a very convenient hotel. Staff were nice and friendly. Yet, an average rating at 7.8 (at the time when I booked) was over-rated in my opinon. There are numerous hotels along the Sussex Gardens of equally convenience, Olympia did not stand out as such. Facility itself is barely sufficient, e.g there is no air exhaust nor floor drain in the tiolet. Maintenance is also minimum with broken glass not replaced and towel with holes still in use. There were many comments on the inadquacy of the WiFi in the hotel. We found that was due to poor coverage: at one corner of the room the signals were strong; at the other end, we found that we got better signals from two other hotels nearby. We had no complain on the breakfast though - choices were limited but quantity was sufficient.

地點非常好。

地點很好，尤其要去機場的話，直接在paddington搭火車非常方便。附近有很多餐廳和商店。房間舒適，小卻乾淨。只是每天凌晨最冷的時候，暖氣卻會關掉，會冷醒。我住宿的是單人房，有朋友來，被禁止進入我的房間，儘管只是來拜訪我，櫃台也不準我朋友進入飯店，我覺得不太合理。早餐很簡單，不算豐盛。

There are a few good things about this hotel but I absolutely won't be returning. It is just a five minute walk from Paddington station which is good. The desk staff are friendly and helpful. It is well maintained and spotless throughout. But no tea making facilities in the room. They will make you hot drinks at front desk. And the breckfast is absolutely dire ! Cheap tinned mixed fruit and no cooked at all. Pure orange could not have been watered down more without it being water ! And no alternatives for those intolerant of dairy or gluten (which I'm both). A sad start to each day. Also the dining room is too small and every day I had to sit with others which I'm not keen on. Today I came down at 8.30 and there were no tables free so came back at 8.52 and was scolded quite rudely by one of the ladies for being so "late" and then hurried off the table by them wiping it and removing everything I finished with - felt very hurried. Have never been treated like this before. I felt like a nuisance tbh. Not for me at all but if you are happy with very limited breakfast and no drinks in the room it might be for you.

Spotlessly clean room in a great location at a super price! The front desk staff are courteous, friendly, and helpful! I’d forgotten my charger, the gentleman at the front desk kindly looked up a spot to get one and directed me there so clearly. On top of that, it’s right by Hyde Park (where you can ride horses at Hyde Park Stables- a bonus for horse people like me!) and Paddington station, so there’s plenty to do on your doorstep and easy connection to the rest of the city. This is my new go-to home base in London!
