The Village at Highlands Ranch

The Village at Highlands Ranch

10/10 Excellent
"All of the staff, maintenance, housekeeping, office, retail, eateries want to be there, and each with a personality to remember. This attribute stands out, and unfortunately was rare over our 3 week travels."

Beautiful 3bedroom house in Mineral/Pet and family Friendly/Lassen National Park

10/10 Excellent
"Home was very clean with minimal clutter. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out and store our things. Area was quiet. We did experience a PG&E power outage, which was not the owners fault. I’d recommend having a propane camping stove for cooking food and more wood for the wood stove in the event of a future power outage. There was a battery pack to keep fridge running for a short period."

Spacious Classic Cabin Retreat- near Lassen

Spacious Classic Cabin Retreat- near Lassen

8/10 Good
"Very nice property, just as listed, owner communicated very well. Kitchen and bathrooms well accommodated. We did not have to use the heating system, but it appears fairly new and maintained. We greatly enjoyed the outdoor fire pit at night with comfortable outdoor chairs. We brought plenty of firewood and sat outside for hours under the stars.Surprised by the number of other homes in close proximity but none seemed occupied during our stay. Certainly a vacation home neighborhood.I would consider returning in the winter with plenty of snow. The house would be cozy and warm, snow play at your doorstep and the board game, and puzzle selection is unmatched."

1950's themed cute and cozy cabin in Old Station.

1950's themed cute and cozy cabin in Old Station.

10/10 Excellent
"Charming, cozy, vintage-style cabin in a quiet neighborhood. Close to the tree-lined Pacific Coast Trail and the Lassen National Park entrance. The cabin is decorated with warmth and character. It’s filled with rustic wood furniture, some vintage lamps, a classic oven, and a retro refrigerator. The couches with warm fleece blankets sit across from a wood-burning stove. The upstairs bedroom had the most comfortable bed, and the upstairs bathroom has a claw foot bathtub. The place has a delightful smell of cedar wood. You can access the Pacific Coast Trail from the backyard. It’s surrounded by tall pine trees and some redwoods. The host Jill was helpful and accessible. The cabin was so wonderful and peaceful, we didn’t want to leave. We would definitely stay again!"

Cottage #2 with a Lake and Creek, 15 mi to Lassen NP

Cottage #2 with a Lake and Creek, 15 mi to Lassen NP

8/10 Good
"An older but clean cabin. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom included an old fashioned tub which was difficult to step up into - a word to the wise for older folks. Plenty of towels and bath products. Could only find one kitchen towel however. An odor of burnt popcorn greeted us but opened windows helped. Electricity was sketchy (some outlets didn't work) but kind of expected for the in the woods location. Lovely walk to the waterfall but signs or a map in the cabin would have been helpful. Overall a nice stay close to Lassen Volcanic NP if you aren't expecting modern conveniences."
