What a beautiful gem a few blocks from the Promenade and the beach. The setting is fantastic and the room with lots of old charm. The room had a little eat-in kitchen, a large closet with make-up area and a large room. Many opportunities missed to make it elite with plastic covering over vintage penny tiles coming up, shower fixtures rusted, some other funky touches. But it didn't diminish the overall feel of this beautiful building.

This was truly one of the besdt hotel experiences of my life. I loved this place. LA can be fraught and anxious and this was an oasis of peace and beauty. I will never stay anywhere else.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We were able to stay in one of the penthouse suites, and it has such an amazing charm to it. All the staff members were incredibly helpful! The hotel is also situated in a very peaceful part of Santa Monica, and we had no trouble ubering to/from different places in LA. It’s a very beautiful property.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Santa Monica. This will be our 4th time to the property in the past 6 weeks, staying on average of about 4 nights as it is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood (3 blocks from the beach and convenient for work. Great stay at Maison Twenty Seven. The photos do not do this hotel justice. Very quaint and well-maintained building with rooms and common areas filled with character and attention to detail. Quiet yet central - friendly and helpful staff. Has a lovely lobby if you need to do some quiet work.
