Days Inn by Wyndham Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed the careful attention to the remodeling that was done at this hotel. The bathroom was especially nice. We enjoyed the patio seating behind the bar."
Pacific Point Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in a family suit with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was perfect for our family of 6. The newly renovated rooms were wonderful. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the pool. Free breakfast was a big perk."
Quality Suites Downtown San Luis Obispo
10/10 Excellent
"Clean facilities, welcoming staff. The free drink was wonderful and the inexpensive bbq dinner was good. Room was huge."
Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach
10/10 Excellent
"This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Sandcastle with our family and it solidified our decision to make this an annual tradition. The beautiful rooms, cafe area, extremely helpful and friendly staff, beach amenities (chairs, towels, toys) and super easy walk to beach are what sell it. Next door is a large nice resort as well but we love Sandcastle much more because of its intimate and personal ambiance. Shyloh at the cafe was our favorite, so helpful and friendly - but everyone we encountered were welcoming and helpful. It’s rare to find this service and we will absolutely be back many times to come!"
Cottage Inn By The Sea
8/10 Good
"The hotel could use some refreshing. Our room was very small. The closet was so small and narrow that a small travel suitcase couldn’t fit in it. We had to put in on a stand in the entryway, which was awkward. The room and bathroom were clean, but the bathroom had no fan and only four hooks under shelf above the toilet to hang towels or anything on. The door faced the entry door a few feet away which faced another room’s entry door a few feet away, so one had to be careful! We paid extra for a partial sea view which was just a glimpse through lower buildings, but mostly a view of the roof and parking lot. On the whole, it wasn’t a relaxing space to hang out, but fine as a “home base.” Since it was the off season and the hotel was not remotely full, it would have been nice to be offered a better room. The hotel did send us many messages via Expedia to upgrade (at a cost) but the links all had “upselling” written into them, so I never even clicked on them. Also, you have to pay for parking - $12 a night. It wasn’t a bad stay, but we would not stay there again."
Vagabond Inn San Luis Obispo
10/10 Excellent
