Top Lowndes Hotel Reviews

Secluded in the woods, couple’s romantic cabin & hot tub, brkfast foods provided

10/10 Excellent

"The Fox Den is a groovy get away for anyone wanting to relax and unwind, the night time dips in hot tub were a perfect way to end the days. We enjoyed a wonderful selection of LPs as background to our weekend."

RIVER and SKY Cabin; Hot Tub

8/10 Good

"Please read - the property is just how the pictures show with one exception the bathroom is up a relatively steep gravel hill in a separate building. When booking this property, the description did not say anything about having to go to a separate building approximately 100 feet away from the main house so in the middle of the night when you have to go pee, having to get dressed and go up a steep hill in the woods was unexpected. That said we very much enjoyed the property. It was very secluded with a beautiful view. We were only there one night so having to go up and down the hill to use the bathroom was not a dealbreaker for us, but I don’t think I would want to stay longer with not having a bathroom nearby - especially for the price that was paid I would expect to have a bathroom more accessible in the property. The path to get from where you park and where the bathhouse is down to the property is gravel and pretty steep so it’s not for somebody That’s not sure footed."

Lake Wappapello

10/10 Excellent

"This a cabin in a state park. It was very clean and had newer upgrades. Bring the food you need because it's fairly distance from a grocery. We came later in the day because we needed one night and this was a great price and not a chain hotel which we like. There is a little store not too far from the park. We ordered deli sandwiches from here and picked up some icecream. The sandwiches were delicious and the store had pretty much whatever you might need. The checkin process was great with good communication about which cabin to go to, what the door code was etc... We plan to come back for a longer stay so we can have another evening around the firepit and see all of the stars. Great place to stay."

Lake Wappapello 2 Bedroom Home 1/8 mile to beach and boat ramp

10/10 Excellent

"Very clean, spacious nice getaway right by one of the beaches for the lake. Beds were so comfortable and nice outdoor seating to enjoy. Very friendly neighbors. Easy to access. The host was especially excellent and very responsive to any questions we had or anything we needed. We would stay here again next time we come to the area."

Private lake, beach & hot tub, romantic getaway or family vaca

8/10 Good

"Great location to access the lake close by. Very picturesque location.Pics are a lil deceiving in that things are actually on a smaller scale IRL but still good amenities.Be aware, the pond is not swimmable but paddle boat is fun."

Spacious & Secluded Shook Home w/ Private Hot Tub!

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful property, large and spacious home with a great porch that was perfect for visiting with family. Dora was great, flawless communication throughout the entire booking and stay. The drive to the property was well worth it. Would recommend to anyone wanting a well-appointed, private getaway with family and friends."
