Fantastic stay at Casa Cappella. Amazing pool & views and all amenities catered for. We loved the peace & tranquility but it was also a great base to explore Tuscany from - with easy access to Pisa, Lucca, Florence & beyond. We spent much of our time on the terrace, soaking up the views and the peace. Great communications with the owner & local contact. Highly recommend.

Getaway from it all

What a gem high in the mountains, with a wonderful view of Lucca. Rustic farmhouse with a huge pool and gardens. If u need to get away and relax this is the place for you. Rental car essential and the drive up the mountains is tight but after a few attempts you familiarize yourself with it.

Great!

Casa Cappella is paradise! It has a great atmosphere, good comfort and a very large swimming pool. The location on a hilltop is splendid. Valerie and Christine are very friendly and helpful to make your holiday a success. I certainly recommend Casa Capella. We were with a family of seven adults and enjoyed enough space and privacy and had great dinners and evenings together. Christine cooked us a delicious dinner one night and we walked to nearby restaurant Tosca several times.

Casa Capella exceeded all our expectations, providing us with a lovely villa and amazing outdoor space in a secluded location. The drive up the hillside to get to the property was very worthwhile and rewarded one with the most spectacular views. The property was clean and very well presented and the housekeeper was very helpful and welcoming. On our stay, on a couple of occasions we visited a small restaurant just over the hill called Bar Tosca, which served delicious food with wonderful service. We would highly recommend this property, and of the many villas we've stayed in, it has suited us the best.

Beautiful secluded spot to enjoy Tuscany!

I stayed for a week at Casa Capella with a group of 6 friends, and it was perfect! The outdoor spaces and gardens are beautiful and the pool is enormous - a real must in the heat wave we experienced. Cristina the housekeeper was extremely friendly, helpful and a fantastic cook! The meal she cooked for us was a highlight of our trip. She was also very responsive and helped us within minutes when we got ourselves locked out of the house. We made the most of the very well equipped kitchen and BBQ during our stay, as there are unfortunately no restaurants within walking distance but many beautiful authentic places a short drive away, down the hill. 5 stars all round, thank you!

Lovely location!

My family and I enjoyed our June stay, especially the beautiful pool and grounds. A few things that might be helpful to note for American travelers: There is a washing machine but no dryer (this is common, just helpful to realize), and the road leading to the property is extremely long and narrow, which is typical in Tuscany but might be unfamiliar to new travelers. This is incredibly scenic; just be sure to budget time traveling into Lucca. Valerie was incredibly responsive. The neighboring caretaker was also lovely and speaks limited English, so it was helpful to have Valerie as a contact person when we were running late! I would note that the WiFi only works in certain rooms, which is helpful to know if you have kids who want to be on an iPad at the end of a long day. The property is gorgeous and authentic to Tuscany. We would recommend it!

Relaxing Rustic Tuscan Villa

We had a fabulous relaxing 2 week break at Villa Cappella. The pool was perfect for both adults and teenagers with the bonus of inflatables which we usually have to buy and leave behind. The views from the Villa windows are stunning and it’s a shame you don’t also have the view while relaxing in the terrace area, however both the terrace and pool are secluded for complete privacy which when lit up at night is just stunning. Communication with Valerie was excellent and we had no trouble finding the Villa. The large supermarket en route to the Villa from Lucca stocked everything we required and was only a 15minute drive away. We could have easily stayed longer.

Haus liegt sehr weit oben mit einer traumhaften Aussicht. Strasse etwas herrausfordernd (eng). Tipp: die etwas längere Strecke über den Staudamm nehmen, da ist die Strasse etwas breiter. Im nächsten Ort ein grosser Esselunga in dem sie alles zum einkaufen finden was sie brauchen. Bahnhof gibt es da auch. Lucca, Pisa, Florenz gut zu erreichen, auch mit dem Zug. Mit dem Auto gibt es in der nähe viel zu erkunden . Die Terasse und def Pool laden aber auch ein, einfach den Tag im Ferienhaus zu verbringen.

Vi hade en fantastisk vecka i huset. Är man beredd att köra 10 min på slingriga vägar uppför berget så är detta det bästa stället man kan bo på. Poolen och omgivningarna är outstandning.Bra och välutrustat kök. Huset ligger avskiljt men inte ödsligt. Perfekt läger för utflykter till Lucca, Florens, Pisa, Sinque terre, havet, vingårdar med mera.

Wunderbarer Ort

Der Aufenthalt im Haus Casa Capella war wunderbar. Wir waren zu 7 dort und hatten genügend Platz. Der Pool und die ganze Terrasse waren so toll, dass wir garnicht jeden Tag weg wollten. Die Kinder konnten sich austoben, ohne das man das gefühl haben musste, dass sie jemand stören, da das Haus vollkommen allein steht. Im Haus selbst hat uns nichts gefehlt… nur zu empfehlen

Ein kleines Paradies

Oben am Ende des Bergrückens befindet sich dieses kleine Paradies in wundervoller Landschaft mit einer prachtvollen Aussicht ins Tal Richtung Lucca. Das wunderschöne toskanische Landhaus liegt in Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit und ist sehr gut und reichhaltig ausgestattet für uns 7 Personen. Die Betreuung durch Valerie per Mail und Cristina und Alessandro vor Ort ist hervorragend und sehr herzlich. Vielen lieben Danke an euch!! Die anspruchsvolle Straße zwischen Tal und Haus sorgt allerdings dafür, dass man nicht mal einfach zum Einkaufen oder Essen fährt. Das muss man etwas sorgfältiger planen, ist aber der traumhaften Lage geschuldet und daher kein Kritikpunkt. Wir waren vom Haus und der Lage sehr begeistert und haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Bijzonder plekje bovenop de berg

Heerlijke plek bovenop de berg met een fantastisch zwembad. We hebben genoten van het huis en de tuin en het fraaie uitzicht op Lucca. Toen het in het dal flink heet was, bleef deze plek net een paar graden koeler en dus beter te doen. Wel vonden wij de weg de berg op erg onoverzichtelijk en eigenlijk op plekken te smal voor onze (grote) auto. Verder een heerlijke vakantie gehad.

Afgelegen huis met fantastische uitzichten en natuurpracht

Het huis is groot en voldoende uitgerust voor een mooie zomervakantie. Er is een groot terras met voldoende schaduw en het zwembad is enorm en heeft een leuke wipplank die dan ook frequent gebruikt werd De indeling van het huis is praktisch en ruim. Rondom het huis heb je fantastische uitzichten en is er heel veel groen en ook rust. Smorgens hoor je hier de vogels zingen en savonds laten de cicaden van zich horen. Daarnaast vliegen er mooie vlinders rond, waaronder de koningspage, de koninginnenpage en ook eenmaal de Pasja vlinder, maar nog vele andere. Ook de juli-kever of de Pine Chafer werd gezien. Het huis is wel een 20 min van het idyllische Lucca, en voor de natuurpracht en rust moet je wel verschillende haarspeldbochten door vooraleer je ervan kan genieten. Boodschappen combineer je dan ook best met uitstappen. Het warenhuis is gelukkig best lang open Groetjes fam Peter en Lien, Lammens - De Schepper en zonen Tuur Toon en Tijl

Ein besonderer Ort in Italien

Valerie als Vermieterin und Christina als gute Fee vor Ort waren sensationell. Tipps für gute Restaurants gab es reichlich und Christina hat ein tolles Menü für uns in der Küche des Hauses gezaubert. Das Haus hat eine wunderschöne Lage oben auf dem Berg und der Blick ins Tal - besonders Abends - einfach unbeschreiblich. Es gibt reichlich natürlichen Schatten auf der Terrasse. Die riesige Linde versprüht einen süßen Duft - wegen der aktuellen Blüte mussten wir auch mal den Besen auf der Terrasse nutzen. Das Haus ist mit allem Komfort ausgestattet und im Pool kann man richtige Bahnen schwimmen. Er ist riesig. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine und zwei große Kühlschränke. Vor den Fenstern sind Mückennetze. Wir konnten dadurch mit weit geöffneten Fenstern schlafen und wurden morgens mit Vogelgezwitscher geweckt. Natur pur!!! Nachts kühlte es in den Bergen im Juni soweit ab, dass wir die bereitgestellten Ventilatoren garnicht benötigt haben. Casa Capella ist einmalig, besonders die kleine Kirche direkt nebenan (wird nicht aktiv benutzt) hat uns beeindruckt. Der Weg zum Haus wirkt auf den ersten Blick herausfordernd - nach ein, zwei mal hat man sich daran gewöhnt. Toll, dass wir dieses Haus entdeckt haben und nochmals vielen lieben Dank an das gesamte Casa Capella Team.

Das Haus ist zauberhaft mit einem wunderbaren Garten. Es gibt genügend Rückzugsmöglichkeiten ebenso wie Möglichkeiten gemütlich zusammen zu sitzen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Pool ist groß genug zum Schwimmen. Die Anfahrt ist herausfordernd, aber mit der wirklich guten Anfahrtsbeschreibung gut zu finden. Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche dort verbracht.

Traumurlaub, wer hier nicht bucht ist selber schuld !!!

Liebe Valerie, wir bedanken uns bei Dir und Christina für einen Traumurlaub in Casa Capella. Wir haben die Zeit in Lucca sehr genossen und werden noch viele Wochen von den wunderschönen Tagen in der Toskana zehren. Wir bedanken uns bei Dir für die tolle Begleitung in der Vorbereitung unseres Urlaubes und danken Christina für die super Begleitung vor Ort. Ihr toskanisches Menü für uns war einer der Höhepunkte in den zwei Wochen. Das Haus hat alles gehalten, was in der Präsentation versprochen wird. Eine super eingerichtete Küche mit zwei !! grossen Kühlschränken. Auch die aktuell fehlenden Bilder zu den Sanitärbereichen sind gar nicht zu erklären, da das Haus moderne WC und Duscheinrichtungen besitzt. Alle Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet und werden sehr sauber übergeben. Die Lage des Hauses ist fantastisch, wenn man sich an die Anfahrt gewöhnt hat. Hier ist die etwas längere Strecke an der Staumauer vorbei zu empfehlen, da die Straße dort breiter ist. Aber lasst Euch überraschen, es ist einfach nur traumhaft. Wer bei dem Haus bereits begeistert ist, so toppt der Pool alles, was man sich wünscht. Moderne Sitzmöbel eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit Naturschatten und 6 x 12 Meter mit Sprungbrett sind einfach unschlagbar. Auch hier sticht die Sauberkeit und die gute Pflege hervor. Wir können das Haus ohne Abstriche leider nur jedem empfehlen. Leider, weil wir Angst haben, dass dann alle dahin wollen und das Haus zu häufig reserviert wird. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Bestes Objekt seid Jahren. Sehr gute Ausstattung und sauber. Der Pool war schon ein kl. Schwimmbad. Die Umgebung ein kleines Paradies. Pfingstferien zu sechst

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Das Wetter war bestens, der Pool viel benutzt. Nach einer Woche haben wir uns auch einigermaßen an die engen Serpentinenstraßen gewöhnt. Das Haus bietet einen guten Startpunkt für Wanderungn, Städtereisen und Strandbesuche. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wonderful location

Very nice holiday home with a great pool. We visited nearby cities Pisa, Lucca and Florence, went hiking in the mountains and went to the beach. It took us 15 minutes to drive up the very winding road from the junction to the house. I definitely can recommend Casa Cappella.
