We checked in at the Crown hotel and were given a map with the local sights. Hotel magic was a very short walk from here. Please note that this was down and alley which occasionally had local staff taking breaks and smoking outside the door. They were polite but it’s worth pointing out. On our last day the check in hotel allowed us to store our cases for the day. The location was very good with the sights within walking distance.

The room itself was clean and ideally located in the old town area. There were many restaurants and shops nearby. However, we weren’t aware and didn’t appreciate that this hotel didn’t have a reception area. We had to walk an additional 2 blocks with luggage to check in at Hotel Krone. There was literally no staff at Magic Hotel. We had minimal contact with Hotel Krone staff.

Great location in the Old Town and easy walk from the Train Station. Check-in is at a different hotel, Krone, but it is just a short walk away. There is an elevator, but be aware that the rooms are half a flight of stairs away from the floor, so you will have to navigate some stairs with your suitcases (2 stairs to get into the building and 6-7 stairs to get to your room). We had a large room with a small balcony overlooking the square and a view to the river (I think it was the only room with a balcony). We enjoyed having a coffee there watching the activities on the square. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room was a good size with a large jetted tub and quirky, albeit comfortable furniture. Would stay there again

Unique and quirky property but the room we were in was looking rather tired and needed a deep clean and repaint. Curtains had marks on them. Bathroom very clean. Overlooking the square is lovely but also very noisy with trucks coming early in the morning to do deliveries to the local shops. Room does not have air conditioning. We had to keep the window open for airflow and this did not help with keeping out noise.

The property is very tired. My room had furniture that was old and beaten up. The entrance to the hotel is also a prep/staging area for a restaurant downstairs. Often our entrance was blocked by staff of the restaurant loitering and smoking.

Weird entry through a back alley was off-putting. But the staff at the Krone hotel (for check in and check out) were helpful. Room was of modest size, over-looking an alley. Noise from the restaurants did die down after 11:00 PM.
