“The stay was brilliant. Steve and Annette were very welcoming and accommodating and made it very easy for us to check in out of hours. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfy. 2 extra pillows had been stored in the cupboard and were very useful. Despite being a small room, it had lovely views over the garden, a very cosy feeling, and included everything we needed, including teas and coffees and an ironing board with an iron. “I stayed at the Jester while I was in the area for business. Bas and his chef Derek bent over backwards to accommodate during what was a very difficult time for them at the tail end of the second lockdown. With no other staff to support them, and making preparations for the reopening, they still found time to make sure I had access to evening meals and breakfast, despite the fact they had no reason to open the kitchen, just to serve me.
