Wanted to rate higher. It has some very good points. But reported Fridge in our room wasn’t working. The back of it was getting very hot but was not cooling. I was told someone would look at it. No one came. I unplugged it in the end for safety. Air conditioning didn’t work in our room and later the safe stopped locking.
The hotel is surrounded by new building work
The pictures of the Nile view are very old, most of the Nile is obscured by new builds
We still liked the roof terrace despite the building work.

The staff is friendly but not very helpful. They have difficulty understanding English. They would help you with your language and arrange taxi for you at twice the normal price. Our room has a strong smell of urin. The carpet is old and dirty.

Stayed 5 nights (Feb 11–16, 2026). Booked Feb 2. Reserved two Deluxe Nile View rooms. Arrived at 4:00 PM and were given two standard non-view rooms. After a polite but firm protest, we were told we hadn’t booked Nile View rooms. The manager even claimed, “We don’t even have a view of the Nile, we are too far back.” (It’s maybe 250 meters.) Yes — they absolutely have Nile View rooms, many of them, on the top two floors. We were then told view rooms would require cleaning and would cost an extra US$250. After flying 18,900 km to see the Nile, we agreed. We waited three hours. Eventually I had to go back and demand the rooms because they had clearly forgotten about us. After firmly expressing my frustration, we were given two side-by-side rooms on the 5th floor. Both rooms — the ones we paid an extra US$250 for — faced the opposite side of the hotel, not the Nile. At that point, I stopped arguing. Other issues: broken patio door lock with connected neighboring balcony (security concern); very dated 1970s-style rooms; awful breakfast; elevator plays the same six bars of Kenny G every trip; the “spa” is just a couple of rooms with tables and only one staff member (a nice enough Egyptian gentleman); 5th-floor hallways smelled like unvented sewer gas; children yelling and screaming in the halls until at least 1:00 AM. I expected potential scams in Egypt based on what I had read — I did not expect it at my hotel. To be fair, some staff members are incredible people.

Excellent stay with outstanding service. This is a very good quality hotel in Luxor. The staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The overall quality of the hotel exceeded my expectations, from cleanliness to comfort. Breakfast was amazing, with great variety and quality, and it was one of the highlights of my stay. The only downside was the noise from the street. Due to local culture, cars and motorcycles honk frequently, sometimes even late at night. This is difficult to avoid given the location and is not the hotel’s fault, but light sleepers should be aware. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

My best experience staying in a hotel all my life. I have never seen a hotel this clean, educated and well dressed staff and breakfast is mid blowing. There is a big buffet breakfast included in my booking which I was speechless after looking at it. Everything is freshly prepared and Egyptian style. Highly recommended
