Beautiful flat recently reformed just a few meters from the Plaza Mayor of Madrid, located in one of the most emblematic streets of the city.



Located in the Madrid de los Austrias, the old town of the city and the ideal starting point for a visit to one of the most charming neighbourhoods.



The Plaza Mayor is now a major tourist attraction, visited by thousands of tourists every year. In the commercial premises located under the arcades, there is an abundance of hotel and catering businesses, which have terraces in the square. It is also a popular venue for festivals and other cultural events.



Sol metro station is a 2-minute walk away. And several bus and taxi stops nearby.



Ideal flat for couples or 4 people. Loft equipped to satisfy the needs of our guests. Full privacy, double bed (1,35cm), double sofa bed (1,35cm). Very bright flat provided with large windows, private bathroom, living room and kitchenette.



A bright living room with sofa bed, table and TV next to a fully equipped kitchenette (fridge, oven, electric cooker, kitchenware, cutlery, etc) separated from the bedroom by a designer shelf.



In the bedroom you will enjoy a large and comfortable double bed (1,35cm) next to a wardrobe and a couple of balconies overlooking the street. In addition, you will have a fully equipped private bathroom (washbasin, toilet, shower, etc.) plus a pack of towels, shampoo, gel, hairdryer, etc.



It is located in a renovated building. Access is by stairs to the lift from which you can access the flat.



At the portal you will find an access code that will allow you to check in at any time.



All communication and enquiries to receive information about bookings must be made through the message platform. Through this platform we manage all the information you may need about your booking.



We will always be ready to answer any questions you may have, if you need it.

PROS: Location, location, location! It's a stone's throw from the Plaza Mayor, on a pedestrian street, very central and safe. The keyless entry is very convenient, although the doorknob sometimes sticks and you have to try several times before it opens. The apartment is small but comfortable and nicely decorated. CONS: The bathroom... it's small, but that's not the worst part... the terrible thing is that it SMELLS AWFUL! I don't think it's a problem with the apartment itself, but rather with the building's plumbing, and it's a complaint I've read about that's been going on for years, so it doesn't seem like something the owner can fix. It doesn't just smell a little bad... it smells terribly bad. It stinks, even with the extractor fan on all the time. It seems to be a permanent problem. It's a shame.During our stay, there was construction work in the building and there was a lot of dust in the common areas, but that's temporary. SUMMARY: All in all, if you weigh the advantages against the disadvantages, I think it's worth it if you only plan to spend the minimum possible time in the bathroom holding your breath.

Terrible location. There is a very strong sewer smell in the apartment. The host tried to clean it and put very strong ammonia in the restroom that created more problems. There is no way to fix it, because the restroom has problem with the piping, water trap is absent. No cleaning can resolve it. The terrible smell returned and the whole apartment stinks like a restroom. I tried to request money back, but the host continues to refuse it. Also, the bathroom has mold, mirror has corrosion stain and vanity is in terrible condition. This is the reason that you can’t find pictures from bathroom at all. I will not recommend this location to avoid bad memories from Madrid.

Noisy but convenient

This apartment was in a great location as far as proximity to shops, restaurants and the plaza. However, there was A LOT of noise constantly even through the night (banging from garbage trucks, street cleaners, people in neighboring apartments, people going up and down the stairs). Everything was clean in the apartment but the bathroom had a strong sewer odor.

Playa Mayor Madrid

Cute little apartment right in the middle of everything. Convenient to all the places you would readily want to visit in Madrid. Great little Cerviceria across the walk that was always filled with locals and their families, fun way to interact with people at the tapa counter while enjoying the food and repartee of the staff, kitchen and customers.

Great location.. bad smell

The location is perfect. There is a terrible smell that comes from the toilet. If you have a weak stomach you may not be able to handle the smell. We kept the toilet lid closed and the bathroom door closed. The noise in the apartment is 24x7. During the day foot traffic, music and partying. At night restaurant deliveries, trash pickup very loud. I wore earplugs and slept fine. Also a large person would not be able to get into the shower. An improvement would be able to hang towels in the bathroom.
