Although the surrounding area (3 km west of Galle Fort) is unassuming, the hotel itself is in a beautiful colonial style with every detail and unique decoration carefully thought through. “This was like a piece of tranquil paradise in the middle of Galle Fort. It’s excellently located for exploring the fort and the building is beautifully preserved and offers excellent and spacious accommodation. We loved the room with a garden balcony, as we could watch and hear the world go by from the comfort of our room. “The Dutch Bungalow in Galle Fort is perfectly located with easy access to everything in the old town. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. “The stay is very good. You will have a decent stay here and warm welcome from their staff. The morning breakfast is delicious. The room is clean. The staff also helped me to find a tuk tuk and give me advice on reasonable price. Just one thing to improve: They need to add a curtain on the top window coz ppl on the 2nd floor may see inside the room and give lower privacy. This is also too bright without curtain and wake me up in the morning.”
