「great place」

「We really enjoyed our stay at the Tickled Trout. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. Our room was lovely . It was really warm when we were there as it was in the middle of a heatwave. We took a fan with us although they did say there were some available. There was a small window in our room which looked out onto a fairly busy road so could be quite noisy if window was open. Other family members had a room at the back of the pub and they said it was really quiet there. Also worth...

「The room has no lock on the door; locks are only available outside the two rooms. There are many flies in the hallway, and they are appearing throughout the rooms. There is a lot of dust everywhere. In addition, although we were given the Wi‑Fi password, we’re unable to connect.」

「No aircon and window locks make the windows v difficult to get any air in the room. My son’s toilet didn’t work And was already ‘full’ when they arrived and as the hotel was full, they couldn’t change rooms! The breakfast buffet did not look v fresh but the pastries were good . Overall v tired hotel :(」

「Beautiful cottage in an amazing setting - ideal for people who don’t want to use their cars once there! Communication with Skykes Cottages was very process heavy tho - we received so many useless emails before the booking, then during the trip there was so many different people to talk to for every problem. They took time to help. They don’t reply to WhatsApp for Hours tho they say to contact you there. Some improvements needed there to make it seamless please 🙏」
