"The room I had (Barcelona) was large and clean but not necessarily functional. Some unpleasant noise can be heard inside the room (from the streets and from housekeeping). Gym equipment is very limited. I have a hard time understanding some reviews here which describe the staff as friendly. They were not necessarily unfriendly, but rather came across as dull, confused in answering simple questions, mechanical and sometimes even confrontational. Restaurant is great tho. Overall, I suspect that are better options around the area for the same price. "

"This was the best hotel experience you can have. I have been to many 5 star hotels and when overseas a 5 star can range from a true 5 star to a 2 star disguised as a 5 star. This hotel was great, staff, breakfast, room, service. The only place I would stay in Makati"
