Cloy is also a great host -- he's super communicative and when there was a tsunami warning (obviously something out of his control), he proactively checked in on how I was doing, which I really appreciated. We split our road to Hana and Haleakala-Kipahulu District trip up over two days, making this the perfect place to rest for the night. We loved the secluded nature of the house and listening to the rain through the open windows at night. The bathroom was very clean and updated and we loved sitting on the back porch in the evening. ”

“Our stay was as expected— which is a great thing! It’s not fancy, but it was an incredible home base in Maui. The air conditioning was definitely a bonus compared to some other places we looked at. One thing to note is that Google maps does tend to take you down one road too soon. We used the bed and the pull out sofa and both were adequate. ”

“We enjoyed our 3 days here. The location is great! Rooms are larger than they look from the photos. Great communication with the owner/manager. The kitchen is well equipped. Private yard and hot-tub… amazing! There is nothing to dislike. Maybe the folks staying in the unit above us could have been less noisy - the sound of their stomping around woke us up early each morning.
