"Staff was great & room was very clean. Location alone was amazing. Watching the sunset from the upstairs bar area was just beautiful. We will definitely be staying with The Opal from now on!!"

"Overall, the hotel is average. It is located near many of the sites to visit in Key West. The rooms are simply decorated and serve it's purpose. Morning breakfast was good."

"All pools and beaches should have same chair reservation rules. Seaside we could not get a seat due to people saving seats in the am not using them until after Lunchtime. Also, Sunset Bar by the pier wasn’t staffed or open. Beds were not comfortable for a premium resort. Replacement of the mattresses should be considered. Otherwise enjoyed our stay and may book again in mid November."

"The room was not very clean. There were boards missing on the floor. If there wasn't a dirty rug on the floor, we would have fallen to the room below. There was minimal space for anything in the bathroom. There was no fire escape. If a fire broke out, unless you got down the stairs, you would die jumping from the balcony. The room could use a table or two to put things on. The TV was worthless as you would need to break your neck to look at it. The only thing positive about it is the location. I would never stay there again. "
