"We couldn't have been happier with our week long stay! Well, maybe a master bedroom door upstairs. The views are spectacular, the beds and pillows were comfortable, plenty of towels and extra bedding is available and the kitchen is well stocked. The tradewinds that blew through the house were amazing! Our only complaint is the water was a little hotter than what we would consider warm, but not hot. My husband was okay with it. FYI: There is a trick to the master bathroom shower, it's a little difficult to get to turn hot on occasion. It will stay cold when it's turned to hot, other times it's just fine. It took me about 10 min. to figure it out the first day, but I just kept waiting and waiting. There was hot water downstairs, so I knew it had to be something. Finally, after turning it down and back up a couple times, it worked no problem. Knowledge is power. It was simple. We flew in to share in our 1st granddaughters 1st Birthday and had a little celebration dinner for her and lets just say she had a great time be-bopping around the space, we blocked the stairs with the ottoman, worked like a charm. They even had a highchair!It was close enough to everything, that we didn't feel like we were missing any action and could experience Kona, Honokaa, and Hilo without driving forever. The Views!!! Our daughter lives in Honokaa and we alternate yearly visits. We will be renting it again, if available, on our next trip.Thank you for such a wonderful home away from home."

"This little studio apartment was the perfect place for our getaway. The property it's beautiful, the apartment is clean, comfortable, and has a very authentic Hawaiian feel. Watching the sunrise from the outside kitchen in the mornings, listening to the birds while drinking your coffee... wow, just wow! Definitely an unbeatable experience. The hosts, Adelina and Buzz are gracious, helpful and friendly, but not intrusive in anyway. Can't wait to stay here again. "

It is ideally situated for travelers seeking a quiet retreat on the west side of the Big Island without the atmosphere of a large resort. The home is within walking distance of the beach and exceptional snorkeling and diving spots, and only a short drive from some of the island’s best restaurants and golf courses.The unit is thoughtfully equipped with everything a couple or small family might need for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is spotless and fully stocked, and the property includes air conditioning (though the ocean breeze often makes it unnecessary), in‑unit laundry, Roku TV, fast internet, strong water pressure, and a spacious shower. The surrounding grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The onsite hosts are attentive and readily available should any needs arise."

"This studio was very clean and had a comfy bed, lovely large deck (not a balcony) and a beautiful garden path for walking through the flowering trees and bushes. This made it feel private and removed from the rest of the surrounding houses, each with a large lot. We sat on the deck for meals, and one time caught a beautiful sunset. We were honored to receive fruit from Mitsuko, most of which had been harvested from her own trees. She was a lovely host and we hope to see her again!"
