  • The Orogun Lodge is a stylish two-storey entire home in the Gorton area of East Manchester, finished to a high standard throughout and sleeping up to nine guests across three bedrooms. With a cohesive designer aesthetic running through every room - from striking wood slat feature walls and LED-lit shelving to hotel-quality bedding and carefully curated decor - this is a property that strikes a genuine balance between residential warmth and boutique-style finish. It is ideal for family breaks, group getaways, friend reunions, and longer working stays, offering the kind of considered comfort that makes groups feel at home from the moment they arrive.

    What truly sets The Orogun Lodge apart is the rare combination of practical upgrades and thoughtful design. Air conditioning is installed throughout - a genuine rarity in UK homes - making it a comfortable and practical choice in every season. Free off-street parking is included on the premises, with additional free street parking available directly outside. Guests have a private entrance and full exclusive use of the entire home throughout their stay, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, the living and dining area, the kitchen, the rear garden, and the parking. Long-term stays are welcomed, and host Churchill is available throughout, responding promptly while giving guests all the privacy they need to enjoy their time here.

    A Home to Relax and Unwind

    From the moment the group settles into the large corner sofa in the ground floor living room, The Orogun Lodge makes it easy to properly switch off. The bold wood slat feature wall housing the smart TV gives the space a character that is rarely found in a rental home, while layered shelving, a patterned rug, and a throw-draped armchair tucked beside the staircase add warmth without ever feeling cluttered. The living room opens naturally into the dining area, making the whole ground floor a comfortable hub for the group to gather, eat, and spend time together. When it is time to retire for the evening, the bedrooms continue the same hotel-influenced design philosophy - each one finished with velvet headboards, LED-lit shelving, hotel-quality bedding, open clothes rails, and scented diffusers that are the kind of touches guests notice and remember. The Nespresso machine and hot water kettle are set out and ready for morning routines, and a set of board games is on hand for evenings the group wants to spend in.


    The Layout

    Ground floor

    The living area is anchored by a large corner sofa, coffee table, and a smart TV set within a striking wood slat feature wall. Layered shelving with playful decor, a patterned rug, and an armchair beside the staircase create a comfortable and characterful space with room for the whole group. The living room flows naturally into the dining area, where a herringbone dining table seats six beneath pendant lighting. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped for home cooking and group catering, and includes a gas oven and stove, microwave, fridge-freezer with separate freezer, four-slice toaster, Nespresso machine, hot water kettle, cooking basics, dishes and silverware, wine glasses, and cleaning products. A washing machine is located within the kitchen, with an iron and ironing board also provided. A compact downstairs WC with sink and decorative slat panelling provides added convenience on the ground floor.

    Upper floor

    All three bedrooms and both main bathrooms are on the upper floor, accessible via a carpeted staircase with a pine banister. The upstairs landing gives access to all bedrooms and the family bathroom.

    The family bathroom on the upper floor features a full-size bath, pedestal sink, and a natural wood slat feature wall with a round porthole mirror. A separate shower room offers a walk-in shower with marble-effect tiles and a rainfall-style showerhead, alongside a WC and sink. A hair dryer is available in the property.

    Outdoor space

    The property benefits from a private enclosed rear garden with a green lawn and fenced boundaries, providing a quiet and sheltered outdoor area for the group to enjoy.

    Practical notes

    The property has a private entrance and guests have full and exclusive use of the entire home. The home is equipped with a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher. Heating is provided throughout the property. Please note that the home is spread across two floors connected by a carpeted staircase - guests with mobility requirements or those travelling with very young children should take this into consideration before booking.

    The Orogun Lodge is set in the Gorton area of East Manchester - a well-connected residential neighbourhood that offers a quieter setting without placing guests far from the city`s best. The surrounding streets have a good range of everyday amenities including local shops, supermarkets, and takeaways within easy reach.

    Gorton Monastery, one of Manchester`s most architecturally striking landmarks - a Victorian Gothic building now used as a popular events venue - is a short distance from the property. The Belle Vue area, home to leisure facilities and the National Greyhound Stadium, is also nearby. For live music fans, the O2 Apollo Manchester is approximately ten minutes by car, making The Orogun Lodge a particularly convenient base for concert-goers. For those looking to escape the city entirely, the Peak District National Park is accessible in approximately thirty minutes by car. Manchester city centre - with its restaurants, bars, shopping, museums, and nightlife - is approximately fifteen minutes by car or around eighteen minutes by bus, placing the full range of the city`s attractions well within reach.

    Travel times:
    • Manchester Piccadilly Station - approximately 9 minutes by direct train from Gorton station (hourly service), or around 18 minutes by Bee Network bus, which runs every 10 minutes from the local area
    • Manchester City Centre, Piccadilly Gardens - approximately 15 minutes by car or around 18 minutes by bus
    • Etihad Stadium (home of Manchester City FC) - approximately 10 minutes by car or around 11 minutes by local bus, making this an excellent base for supporters and visitors on matchdays
    • Manchester Airport - approximately 20 to 25 minutes by car, or around 35 minutes via public transport connecting through Manchester Piccadilly Station
    • O2 Apollo Manchester - approximately 10 minutes by car

    Free off-street parking is provided at the property, making it straightforward to explore Greater Manchester and the wider region by car. Please note that on Etihad Stadium matchdays, road closures and congestion in the area are common - allow additional travel time or consider using public transport on event days.

    Booking Policy

    Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file. If payment fails, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled. Early payment is allowed; card fees up to 3 percent are non-refundable if cancelled.

    Guests are not required to pay a damage deposit in advance. However, we reserve the right to charge up to two hundred pounds per stay to the card on file in the event of any damage.
    Upsells such as early check‑in, late check‑out, and add‑on packages are available to enhance your stay. Please note that all upsells are non‑refundable once booked.



    Cancellation Policy

    Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before arrival. Fifty percent refund if cancelled fourteen to thirty days before arrival. No refund if cancelled within fourteen days of arrival.
