First time I have experienced a 4 pm check in. At the same time check out is at 10 am. Both times are very inconvenient, especially the 4 pm check in. The place was clean. If you need your room cleaned you would have to request it, which was not an issue. Good access to transit as buses stop just in front of hotel. Front desk staff was helpful. The area is safe, as I was out walking past midnight and never felt worried.

Car parking was a nightmare as the spaces are so tight, you could only really park a mini or fiat 500! I literally was trying to climb out on to the roof! Reception staff were very short spoken almost rude. Bedroom was very basic but looked clean. We went to the bar to order food but the kitchen had closed (it was late so couldn’t complain) The 2 staff members behind the bar were lovely, very friendly and chatty! However when we went to our room, a couple of doors down from us were so loud we could hear them from in our room, this was gone 11pm. We alerted reception who just shrugged and walked off! We called down to reception for extra pillows and were just told come down to reception! Then we got into bed and within 5 mins had been bitten on our legs and back! We all ended up sleeping on top of the duvet with no covers, I covered my daughter with a couple of towels! Sleep didn’t come easy probably from 5am-7am and then upon checkout the staff don’t even bother to ask how our stay was! Basically don’t bother! I’d have to say worst hotel I’ve stayed in and that says a lot!!!

The bed was uncomfortable. The coils were poking into me. The heater was on with no way to turn it off so it was very hot. A small fan was present in the room so this was obviously a consistent issue.

Just a quick review from us at Lonely Traveler Productions after our stay at the Britannia Hotel Manchester Airport. We found it a really practical choice for an overnight before a flight. Check-in was straightforward, the room was comfortable, and everything was set up exactly as you’d want when you’re travelling and just need things to work without any fuss. The food was a pleasant surprise — good, hearty options and decent portions, perfect after a long journey when you don’t want to head back out again. Breakfast was convenient and set us up well for the day ahead. The airport shuttle service was a big plus. It ran smoothly, was easy to arrange, and took a lot of the stress out of getting to the terminal on time, which is exactly what you want when you’ve got an early flight. Very poor service and room. People were shouting and cry that is causing me to sleep. Management is very poor. I lost my keys and they were not able to help. You need to spent an hour at reception to get room as they don't know how to use system. Definately not recommended. Car park don't have enough space even if you park your park you cannot come out from car. Worst experience. Please don't spend money on this hotel as they are worthless. You will get more option on expedia. But don't go for it.
