Great little place right on the lake

Wonderful little place on Lake Michigan. Great views and good restaurants in the area. The wood stove was nice on a cool, late spring stay.

Great place to stay for our fall color drive

We totally enjoyed staying at Gary & Shirley's place. They were hospitable and the place was clean and beautiful right on Lake Michigan. We enjoyed walks on the beach, sitting around the fire at night, and driving to TC. Thank you for sharing this wonderful get-a-way place!

Great view, location and vibe!

My wife and I loved our stay here. The spectacular view and sunsets will never be forgotten. The proximity to shopping, local restaurants and hikes was great. We highly recommend.

Great fall getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary trip at this location. There are plenty of activities to do local. Owners are friendly and quick to respond to any questions. I would recommend this for any couple trying to get a short getaway.

Beautiful beach

Wonderful piece of property. Enjoyed spending everyday on the beach to yourself. Sad the amount of trash that washes up but we walked for miles and cleaned it up along the way. Beautiful views and peaceful. Everything we needed. Thank you

It was just a fantastic time!

We had the best time here. The hosts we very friendly & accommodating. The view of Lake Michigan is amazing and just a few steps down to the beach. We walked the beach collecting unique stones, went into Downtown Manistee ate and saw a movie at a very charming movie theatre. Just the best time. We'll be back!

Perfect view

Comfortable and Lovely space to overlook the many moods of Lake Michigan. The deck was great when the weather cooperated but when it did not, we still got to watch from the big picture window.

Quiet with a View

For those looking to see a sunset over Lake Michigan, this is the place to be. Shirley and her husband greeted us when we arrived and then allowed us our privacy. The room is set up with a view to the lake while lying in bed. The patio is also freely accessible and private, giving you a chance to watch the sunset from the perfect vantage point between the trees. Great place to stay.

Couple getaway

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our stay here. We spent most of the day sightseeing and doing things in manistee. It was nice to come back to a private beach and relax there. One thing I didn’t like is that there were people walking by the big window and they could see inside straight to the bed. It did have curtains but I didn’t like closing them because that’s were the main view of the water was.

Wonderful hosts

Our stay was pleasant, the hosts were exceptionally nice and easy to contact. My only suggestion would be to offer a grill or microwave as the toaster oven isnt large enough to really do anything. Unfortunately the steps were damaged in a storm prior to us getting there but the view was outstanding!.

Perfect Late Summer / Early Fall

Our host treated us so well. She upgraded our stay, and the uograde was actually just what we were looking for. We had access to a washer / dryer. The bath was lovely with a new shower. The home was beautifully scented. The bed was very comfortable. We also.had access to a a thermostat. The siundif the waves was so soothing. And thequiet datkness was alsomist enjoy! Not having a kitchen area took a little getting used to... but by the 2nd day we pretty much figured out how to operate things and life was just fine :) Shirley and Gary were great hosts. The view was breathtaking. Look forward to staying with them again next June.

3 days not enough!

Completely relaxing stay at your beautiful beachfront room! 3 days flew by so fast. Planning on coming back next year already! Our only concern was the steps down from the breakwater to the beach! Rather hard to navigate ! Good luck with the November election!
