We enjoyed our stay here over the last couple of years in July. The location is easy to access and there is plenty of parking for 2-3 cars off-street. The house is nice and cool on hot days and everything is easy to access. The owner is very easy to communicate with and answers questions very quickly.

Wedding Weekend at Kingwood Cottage

This cottage is everything you see & SO MUCH MORE! The location cannot be better for weddings at Kingwood Center Gardens. The space is beautifully decorated, all the amenities you could need & the fenced in yard was perfect for our pups. Happiest dogs on earth to be running & playing safely outside. The communication is top notch & the wine hit the spot after a long day of setting up for our son's wedding.

First impressions - neat, clean, cute - all we needed! Host added some simple, but very nice amenities! Sound machines, toiletries, TV’ every room, fenced yard for dogs, cozy!!!! We will definitely book this one again.

Great little cottage

This is a great rental. Clean, cute and comfortable beds. Everything you need including complimentary coffee and bottle of wine! Only minor complaint is some street noise. I think if a sound machine was offered in ea of the bedrooms it would be perfect!

Overall we would recommend this place. It was a nice little house to stay in for a getaway. The house does have stairs for both entrances so it is not handicapped accessible so keep that in mind if you need to know and it is on a busy road, but otherwise it is a cute little place to stay.

Great place to reconnect

My cousin and I gathered at this cute little cottage for a long overdue visit. Such a perfect place to catch up and enjoy being together. We loved strolling through the Kingwood Gardens and Hall - as well as the nearby Bird Sanctuary. Hanging out in the comfort of this space was a great way to start and end each day! Would love to return.

Good, simple place to stay

We enjoyed our stay here. The house has been nicely renovated with 2 bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. The two bedrooms are oddly connected by a shared walk-in closet/hallway, but we appreciated the ability to control the fans and lights and airflow in each bedroom and the entire house cooed nicely in hot weather with strong airflow throughout. The wifi was strong and easily accessible in all rooms and with good, posted instructions. We didn't use the fenced in yard attached, but other reviewers noted the good space for pets to run around and there is a small fire pit available there. It is also nice that the basement of the 1-level home is available for storage and the washer / dryer are available for use there as well. There are some nice plants around the perimeter of the house, but a couple of the tall (and wide!) grasses serve to block off part of the walkways to the front and side doors. Not a big deal at all, but perhaps not the best choices of prolific plants near the sidewalks. The parking area on the property easily allows for 3 cars to park on a cement driveway. Some people commented on the busy street outside, and yes, there is some traffic, and some loud motorcycle and car accelerating up the hill just outside the house, but we dealt with that pretty easily. The house is actually pretty quiet inside despite the closeness to the road. Overall, I hope that this review makes it clear that we were happy, and we've already reserved for next year!

Wonderful!

The place was perfect! Very clean and well appointed. Comfortable beds. Loved the decor and the extra amenities like coffee and washer/dryer access. We arrived at night so we really appreciated the sign on the door confirming we were in the right place. I highly recommend!

Beautifully decorated, wonderful host but...

Right off the bat I will say this cute little cottage is beautifully decorated. The living room was cozy and comfortable. There were games that we thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The bedrooms are small, so watch those shins on the bed corners! The fenced in yard was a really nice bonus. The host Jeremy was wonderful. Any issues I had that were in his power, he was on top of to resolve immediately! With that being said, I have a hard time rating it 4 stars but that is what this little cottage deserves, and here's why... The traffic is OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD. This is a main road with a light on the corner...so revving engines at all hours. SO.VERY.LOUD. The front bedroom takes the brunt of that noise. Apparently on Friday nights there is street racing around the corner. Not the hosts fault but sadly this knocked it down a star. There was not much sleeping going on the 4 nights we were there. In the back bedroom, the ceiling fan made a loud banging/knocking noise when on and it was to warm to sleep with it off. It smelled of cigarette smoke and the air circulation helped . The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I didn't bring any of these things to the host because, let's be honest, there's nothing he could have done about the traffic, fan or mattress. I would rate this cottage as a 3.5 at most. I gave it a 4 because there is no half star and the host was terrific. I really wish I could give it a higher rating because the place overall was lovely.

New , clean and cute

This is the cutest lil place to stay when in Mansfield. Clean, new , bright, attention to detail was awesome! We attended a wedding at the gardens , literally right across the street, didn’t even have to drive to the wedding, such a short walk. Host even left a bottle of wine, coffee and water for us! Comfortable beds, Fenced in backyard with fire pit a super plus! Do not hesitate to book this property for a great stay. We stayed 2 nights.
