"My wife and I booked this cabin to watch the April 8th, 2024 total solar eclipse. This was one of the best vacation decisions of our life, we thought we may have to hike a bit, but we were so pleased we could see it right from the deck of the cabin. "My husband and son and grandsons loved their stay they said the whole place was very clean and the views of the lake were beautiful! However, when I rented it I thought the cabin had one bathroom but there only a bathhouse which was nice but it is deceiving I feel to list it as one bathroom instead of just listing as bathhouse only. There also was no hot water in the kitchen. "

"I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is comfortable staying in a non-corporate and somewhat dated property. The rooms seem to have been updated recently; ours was updated, clean and comfortable, with new bedding. I have no complaints, and overall I think this was incredible value for what we paid. Several comments have dinged the property for the condition of the parking lot, age of the building, etc. It's true the property needs some work, and the owners are making progress. If you need to be in a modern Hilton or Marriott property, and old-time vibes put you off, then maybe skip this one. For me, I would stay here again. "
